The volume 2 will be out on June 16th with 8 artists from 7 different asian countries. 

FuFu Records A&R (@MLCH) presents ‘88 - Double Happiness’ project, a compilation series of 8 tracks from Asian electronic music artists.
88 - Double Happiness comprises a mix of well-know artists and emerging talented producers who are showcasing the new sounds of Asia. It sonically explores the electronic musical scene coming all the diversity of Asian countries.
With artists coming from Philippines, India, South Korea, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Singapore & China, ‘88 - Double Happiness’ features artists such as Fzpz, Saint Guel, Mignon, Joi Lan, Rudoh, Zokkuma, Temple Rat & Dj Doggy. 
Each artist brought their own flavour to the compilation with their unique sounds and dance-worthy beats.

In 2021, FuFu Records has established a partnership with the NGO: One Tree Planted (onetreeplanted.org/collections/asia) 80% of the sales will go to one of the Asian’s projects of the NGO to help support the reforestation and rebuild the habitat of critically endangered species. 

The goal is to reach a minimum of 880 trees planted for the year.

Ransom Note, the excellent online magazine that has been on the forefront of what is going on in music, fashion and events in the UK and the world over for years, has had long ties to our beloved Soho home and for the next in our Friends & Family mix we have decided to step out of the shop and showcase some of the people we really admire doing stuff around London. Ally Tropical definitely ticks these boxes.
Ally is the founder of Pleasant Life Records, a monthly resident on French radio station LYL and the Editor in Chief at Ransom Note. Having worked prominently behind the scenes in Electronic music for over ten years he has amassed a reputable wealth of knowledge having played at clubs and festivals across Europe and contributing mixtapes to the likes of the Goodhood, Mitamine Lab, Melbourne Deepest, 12th Isle & more. Originally from Glasgow but now based in London he is a keen record collector and remains at the forefront of the burgeoning underground Electronic music scene in the UK.
For this mix Ally is giving us a masterclass in current strands of club and electronica, many of which are artists that get featured on his online mag the likes of Walton, D.Tiffany & Reptant spliced in with heavies like Atom & Tobias, Steffi and Parris this mix showcases some serious years in the digging trenches.

Going to Thailand for this week's show with the @morericerecordscrew who have invited @boiledwonderlandrecords 

Inspired by Murakamis’ tale of Underground electronic consciousness, @boiledwonderlandrecords present artists on the edge of electronic music boundaries. Based in Bangkok but connecting artists around the globe, we are a home of artists writing innovative and engaging dance music.

Launched in late 2020 the focused label has had a string of influential releases, with records being supported by the likes of nd_baumecker, and Sherelle. Earlier this year (2022) Boiled Wonderland put out their first compilation, Cognition’, with the single ‘Sarayu’s Deep Burnt’ being played across BBC Radio 1, and receiving plays and shout-outs from DJ’s like Emerald and Om Unit. 

The label is also always at the forefront of finding new and engaging artists and is very proud to have been the first artist to support up-and-coming Thai Talent ‘Chalo’, who is growing on to be one of the finest producers in Bangkok.

There is much in store within 2023 for the label with Boiled Wonderland releasing two new records in the early part of the year and a string of digital singles by a range of well-known and existing Thai and regional artists. A label that is always striving to find the best and most engaging dance music rooted in escapist, and exploratory soundscapes.

He's also a great dj who made plenty of excellent mixes for Ransom Note, Deep House Amsterdam, Honey Soundsystem, Rinse FM etc ...

The mix was made on a thurdsay afternoon in no time and is pretty honest. I took some LPs we actually listen to a lot (Joy Orbison, Erykah Badu, FKA Twigs, Jack J, Isa Gordon, Andras) and added a few current 12 inches. A mix of Indie Pop, R&B, smooth analogue House, leftfield Electronica and discoish stuff is what you get.
