We are travelling to Pakistan where a rising artist honoured us with a beautiful track.

As a key-player in Pakistan’s emerging electronic music scene, Rudoh takes an indelible and hard-working approach to his craft as a producer, DJ and audio engineer. First discovering his passion for electronic music
as a fan of the burgeoning LA-beats scene in the late noughties, he and his friends managed to get their hands on a copy of the music software Reason, making and sharing beats amongst their circle. 

After scouting around for other like-minded music makers in Karachi they built a small network materializing in the form of an improvised, cross-genre live show called Karachi Detour Rampage. These meetings led to a friendship with another local artist Dynoman, and the establishment of Forever South, a record label and events platform specializing in electronic music – the first of its kind in Pakistan.

Completing a BSc in Audio Engineering at the famed SAE Institute in London, Rudoh was exposed to the club sounds of the city. This led to him establishing Box in a Box, a 7.1 surround sound mixing studio and working with the legendary Rohail Hyatt. He would eventually go on to play an instrumental role in setting up the stateof-the-art Aleph studios, now a vital focal point in the Karachi music scene.

Currently based in Dubai, he makes music at every given opportunity striving for audio perfection. His latest venture is Jugaar Records, a new collaborative label project with Sameer Arshad with origins in Pakistan and rooted in the South Asian problem-solving mentality“Jugaad”.

Description of the project 88 – Double Happiness
After successful launched of the compilation series, with the support of many international atists like Move D, Soichi Terada, Kamma & Masalo, Camion Bazar, Yoshi Horino, Merve, Chida, Yu Su…
A new compilation will be released every 3 months gathering young talented producers aside some wellknown Asian producers and the volume will be out on June 16th.

In 2021, FuFu Records has established a partnership with the NGO: One Tree Planted (https://onetreeplanted.org/collections/asia) 80% of the sales will go to one of the Asian’s projects of the NGO to help support reforestation and rebuild the habitat of critically endangered species.

The goal is to reach a minimum of 880 trees planted for the year.

Timeleft returns to Sonidos Distintos, this time as headliner, for our catalogue’s 29th reference. His trademark graceful and deep House music shows a manifest evolution, as well as representing a breakthrough for the Catalan producer.

Daniel delivers three fresh and original cuts which come in handy to lengthen our summer holiday mood. Good Chance opens the album with an infectious groove, vocal details and a sweet pad that go smoothly along with an exceptional FM bass which does not allow stillness at any time. In A Big Deal, Daniel plays around with a chord alternating octaves while the track rhythmically evolves. A special mention goes to the cowbell with anger that has been stuck in our heads ever since the rst listening. The last original tune is Dear Hatson, a rawer and more tribal cut, though just as eective, creating a perfect synergy amongst melody and bass.

We would like to welcome North American artist Ralph Session, who closes the EP by transforming A Big Deal into a bubbling soulful piece with the good vibe inherent to his productions.

Some tracks are bigger than others – Resulting of that perception we decided to bring some renewals for our sublabel Superiéur and repositioned it as platform for re-issues and unreleased treasures from the 90ies. First re-issue will be the Frankfurt early morning classic “Sunrising” by Mark Ambrose & Alexander Purkart pres. Bellringers, originally released on Force Inc. US in 1998. Besides a new mastering of the original DAT tape, we couldn’t resist to include two amazing edits of the original. Responsible for the reworks are our polish homies Mike P and Katowice Academy of Jazz graduate Kacper Bogacz, better known as Pol_On, as well as finnish super house producer Roberto Rodriguez.

The Sunrising original is a timeless masterpiece carved in the stone of end 90ies House with a specific dub trippiness. Played as a secret weapon by DJs like Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Rhadoo and Pedro from the Ar:pi:ar crew, Robert Dietz, Sascha Dive and many others, this track is the perfect score for an open-air party dawn scenario.

Pol_On is taking the original in another direction, by focusing more on the dub elements. The result is a dark and pushing dub-techno tune with a superb working house-drum and lovely detroit-strings on its peak. A deep and hypnotic affair!

Roberto Rodriguez imbibes the more housy parts of the original and delivers a timeless, deep pearl with an irresistible groove and a wonderful string theme. What a beauty!
