DJ Fulano is the life of the party…and he's only nine-years-old.

Fulano Librizzi was cut from creative cloth. Born on July 13, 2003 in New York City and raised in Harlem, Fulano was surrounded by art before ever taking his first breath. His mother, Latham Thomas, a renowned wellness expert, filled their house with the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Fela Kuti, and A Tribe Called Quest on the weekdays, while on the weekends, his father, visual artist, Nemo Librizzi, filled the house with the sounds of Nina Simone, Serge Gainsbourg, Roy Ayers, and other Jazz artists he played on his WKCR radio show, Jazz Alternatives. Fulano was further exposed to the arts by his grandfather, veteran New York contemporary art dealer, Rick Librizzi, who was a close friend of Andy Warhol.

Before birth, Fulano was drumming on his mother’s stomach. After birth, Fulano was drumming on his crib. At age two, he was drumming on his Fisher Price drumset. By age four, he was taking drum lessons. The rhythm was in his soul, the beat was in his blood. At the recommendation of a friend, Latham brought her son to a music production class at deejay school, Dubspot. The school’s musical director quickly suggested the five-year-old enroll in deejay classes. As Dubspot’s youngest student, Fulano was soon offered a scholarship for private lessons. Soon therafter, the student met his teacher.

After stumbling upon a DJ Cassidy classic-soul compilation on the internet, Fulano immediately became infatuated with the iconic deejay known for rocking parties around the world for Jay-Z, Beyonce, Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Russell Simmons, Anna Wintour, Naomi Campbell, Oprah Winfrey, and President Barack Obama. Fulano began tweeting Cassidy every morning before school, sending him links to his mixes. Then, by coincidence, Cassidy was referred to Fulano’s mother for yoga instruction. When the two deejays finally met, a protégé and mentor were born.

“I was simply blown away by Fulano’s knowledge of music, his technical skill, and most importantly, his soul,” explains DJ Cassidy. “A lover of all genres, Fulano brings a refreshing diversity of sound to the deejay booth. Hearing him play is invigorating, not only because he is so young, but because he is so innocently sincere and inspiringly passionate. My parents bought me turntables when I ten years old. I always thought I was ahead of the game. Fulano brings new meaning to those words."
 
DJ Fulano has already performed around the country at an impressive list of events. They include the launch of Diane Von Furstenberg's Gap Kids collection, The Clinton Foundation Millennium Network's Dialogue with Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton Moderated by Edward Norton, the launch of American Eagle's 77Kids NYC Style Lab, Vogue Bambini and Petit PARADE's 2012 and 2013 Kids Fashion Week, Rochester Fashion Week, VH1 Save The Music Family Day, the Knicks vs. Heat game at Madison Square Garden, The Fashionable Mom Show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, CORE: Club’s Global Party, The Children's Museum of the East End's Fourth Annual Family Fair, Generation NXT's fundraiser for Autism, and the Cartoon Network's Hall Of Game Awards. Fulano has also deejayed live on NBC's Today Show.

In June 2012, DJ Fulano launched Fulano's Fun House, a recurring afternoon kids dance party. The first installment took place at New York nightclub, SL, with a packed dance floor of kids, parents, and even childless adults. Partygoers enjoyed complimentary Organic Mashups by Revolution Foods, while showing off their moves to Fulano's eclectic sounds. The second installment of Fulano's Fun House took place in December 2012 at New York City's CORE: Club where Fulano rocked the house like only he can, this time adding a little holiday cheer into his mix.

Fulano is not only making moves in the deejay booth, but is making moves in the studio as well. Hard at work recording his debut album produced by DJ Cassidy, Fulano is set to release his first single in 2013. A throwback to early Hip Hop park jams, the tune will surely give the young deejay a record with which to rock every dance floor he touches.

As if deejaying and rapping were not enough to keep the full-time fourth-grader busy, DJ Fulano is also modeling across the globe. In addition to having shot a fashion spread for Japanese Vogue showcasing child prodigies, Fulano also appeared in Gap Kids' fall 2012 campaign. Fulano has been featured in the New York Post, the New York Daily News, The Wall Street Journal, The Observer, Time Out New York, Earnshaw's, Paper Magazine, and many other prominent print and digital publications.
