PAST & FUTURE was originally self-produced and self-distributed by the band on his own label Artefact, as a limited edition of 500 cassettes, released in June 1987. It was sold out in a few months.
In 1989, the band was signed under licence to New Rose for the LP "Sounds In the Attic" (on Lively art sublabel), after New Rose had distributed the self-produced EP "Private Life" in 1988. In 1990, New Rose re issued Past & Future on cassette, and another 500 copies were sold.

Out on vinyl for the very first time, these original recordings were produced by the band on a 4-track cassette deck in 86-87, except track A2, recorded on a 8-track tape recorder at 8PM Studio in Lyon (march 87).

An industrial, dark, distorted and cinematic experience unlike any other with amazing attention to detail and subtle layering, this album begs for repeated listening to take it all in.

A merger of warm tape noise fused recordings and analogue acoustics, it paints a larger than life picture of nature with a warm but at times brooding backdrop with and overlay of sacral vocals.

Years ago the beat of the shaman's drum pulled your tribe out of the motherland. Now as you make your way home everything has changed. The smell of burnt wood linger in the canopy of the forests, clicking machinery reverberate deep within. Trees malformed, technology fused with nature, the prophecy of the shaman was wrong. The ancient land now lies perverted by the swarm, but the tribe is coming home.

There are asylums, prison halls and dark corridors in the twisted nether where our current illusion was created by our former slaves - now transformed to cruel masters by the Council of Twelve. Through the citadels of the Lost God, Where the rejuvenation of the collective soul has become brainwashing of the endless hordes that await his return with bubbling glee. This journey is one not soon forgotten, as the churning cogs of the old city dig ever deeper into humanity's clandestine past. A sickly dull thud of stone on flesh is all that interrupts the ceaseless moanings and burrowings of the old city of our past glories. That and the incessant clamour of machines beyond count. The yearning for a way out of the illusion leads us to the top of the thousand steps of obsidian, where the processing plants never stop the injection of false hope to the masses of divided consciousness. A memory springs unbidden to my wandering mind: A black worm eats at the heart of the sun. 

Reliquiae is a syringe filled with the deepest of sounds, with details so carefully perfected and indeed profound that it will make you listen to the album again and again, falling deeper and deeper into the void of the awakened. Spanning 19 tracks this is one epic release that tells a tale revolving around the relics that are the basis of our enslavement. It truly must be heard to be fathomed
