This is a remix of STONERJAZZ's (@user-911083679) open collaboration, A Strong Cupa Joe. The original song is no longer available on his SoundCloud page, but you can give it a listen on his BandCamp where it is featured on the album 'Half-Life'. 

Jeff had already included that trippy repeating synthy thing going on throughout the background. I added the melodic thread that evolves throughout, the chords that chime in here and there, and the experimental sound collage at the end. I've had this one ready to go for a bit, and figured it would be fun to release this week, along with our new Smoking Trout song, Assimilation, as kind of like a fun little B-side to that track. it's a welt and a strong cuppa joe

while the cat and the kitten hiss and cavort
as the darkness expires, while the coals from those fires still glow

Aporia is an ongoing Internet collab project based around the piano/bass duo 'Kirby/Ward'. Occasionally we capture something at rehearsal that we send to dummer Dane Renshaw (Japan) and guitarist Bruce Musser (U.S.A) to add their respective talents too. Its usually pretty spacious and dreamy : ) For this track we added the talents of Dylan Banks playing the Intonarumori as it seemed the least likely instrument ( and therefore most fun)  to suit this pseudo jazz jam extraction. As always Aporia may or may not record more music
