Push It Down

Out of my nervous journey through art, I've slowly gathered the pieces of what feels like me, sifting through my bias and my fixations, working my way through whatever holds me down or fills me with fear. 

Being entertaining was never something that came natural to me.  That difference between passion and charisma always terrified me. 

This identity is about overcoming those fears. Not because I'm special, but precisely because I'm not. I'm not going to pander to you, and I'm not going to be perfect for you. 

I built myself on the acoustic, singing and playing alone or together, and a big part of who I am is still in that hollow hunk of wood.

I learned from my loves that my ears could tune to so much more, allowing me to branch into previously unexplored territory. I discovered the pure delight of sonic bliss, and the infinite potential curiosities within a single song. 

Engineering these sounds alone, I've found my voice, ranging from soul to funk, from folk and blues to hard-core, and from industrial to dream pop. In an exploration of diverse ideas, and through the power of pitch and rhythm, I aim to unite the counterintuitive, and to harmonize the dissonant.
