The process of Inspiration: "I want to make a dubstep remix of this song."

Sure, I could do that.  But I wanted to preserve elements of deadmau5's beautiful arpeggiated synth pads and patterns.  I decided to strike a contrast between these two, creating an arp-based chorus that develops into the wubs that I was originally planning to do.  I also decided to incorporate nature to open and close the song as I felt that the lyrics and style of the song suggested a rainy day.

In all of my music, I try to create a contrast between two or more ideas, and this is definitely evident in this remix.  I hope that this is not lost in the submissions and that I influence at least a couple people.  Because even though the prize pool is pretty hefty for this, all I really hope to achieve is to inspire and compel other listeners and producers alike to go after their creativity.
