I think we're all blind about this thing called life

Why our children grow old, but do the same things
Why we hate ourselves, or why we wait around to hear the same old words come out of everybody's mouths
Sometimes it's so hard finding something worth caring about

But it's alright
I did not need this anyways
I'm just fine
I could give all this away because
At night it all becomes the same when we close our eyes

I found a new disease called living in the past
You don't see with our eyes and we forget to breathe and laugh
Everybody's got a past, we've all seen good we've all seen bad
Embrace this very moment, it's all that you have
Fuck all your t.v., web, and movie screens
Or department stores, and money making disease
All the oil and blood, when's enough enough
How much land they gonna blow up tryin to build back up?
I will never be consumed by fortune and fame
I'll buy that kid some shoes standing barefoot in the rain
But we want diamonds in our teeth and three bitches in the back
But two of those ladies have babies, where the fuck are they at?
I ain't saying things will change but if they did it wouldn't matter
Because a cycles a cycle long before and long after

I know sometimes it seems like we're running everything
We love to think that we all know
But all our beauty builds in bullshit I made up
It's ok to just let this go
