Jean has a bad day

Jordi, aka Llupe, and Nico, aka DJ Aficionado, share quite a few things in common: Catalan origins, a love for all things Balearic, the same street in Berlin and shows on Refuge Worldwide. They both certainly appreciate a good party, too.

Organizing parties and playing together was a natural direction for them. Their party series, Orbita, launched earlier this year, aims to create ample space for quality adult dance music. It seems to be working well, as they’ve been fortunate to host guests like Apiento, Tom of England, and Sianza, to name a few.

This mix is a recording from the last Orbita party, held at Fitzroy on what many described as the last day of summer in Berlin. For those who remember, it was a dreamy and sensual Sunday, filled with music that sounded just right in that room. It felt nice and cosy and the dancers seemed to be momentarily free from any kind of Monday angst. Playful and light, yet seriously good. Feel the magic, times two.

Sava is a Berlin-based DJ with roots in Ukraine and Belarus, co-manager and resident of Tres Bienski, a queer party focused on inclusivity and safe spaces.

The sound blends 90s house and techno, tribal, acid, and melodic elements. Sets are immersive and familiar, evoking a pre-Internet era of freedom and connection on the dancefloor.

Before turning to DJing, Sava worked as a lighting designer at clubs such as Kyiv’s K41, Berlin’s Aeden and Oxi, and at Fusion Festival. This experience shaped an understanding of music, energy, and the emotional flow of a night—perspectives that now inform the approach behind the decks.

Sapu is a multidisciplinary artist who has been steadily carving out a unique space in the electronic music scene. Dutch born and Berlin-based, with a deep-rooted passion for vinyl and storytelling through sound, he’s brought his distinctive energy to clubs like Club der Visionaere, Golden Gate, Tresor, as well as Perron, Paradiso, and Toffler in the Netherlands.

As a sonic guide, his sets unfold as immersive journeys rather than fleeting moments, blending rare records, hidden gems, and deep grooves with a narrative sensibility that keeps dancefloors locked in groove. Always evolving and never confined by genre, his sound is as dynamic as it is personal.

As a lifelong digger, his expansive record collection is a reflection of his character and curiosity. In 2023, he launched his own label, Rhythm By Nature, which has quickly gained traction with releases from names like Tommy Vicari Jnr, Nail, Tripmastaz, and SaPu himself.

With a fresh wave of gigs and exciting releases on the horizon, SaPu continues to build momentum—inviting listeners deeper into his world, one groove at a time.

During the early morning hours at Feel Festival we drifted onto the Wagenburg floor and encountered an emerging artist behind the decks, delivering a captivating vinyl-only set. With a refined sense for atmosphere, he lifted our vibe and carried us into a smooth, tribalish flow.

Afterwards we got in touch and learned that this was actually one of his very first vinyl sets. For that reason we asked him for the recording of the sets and here it is !
We’re excited to present you this New Face — keep an eye on him.

Our first proper meet-up went down at Munich’s Goldener Reiter. From the very first second it was clear – this was the « 🐱 » connection. Absolutely cat souls, wonderful artistes. This mix takes you on a gorgeous multi-genre journey with (attention, spoiler alert) one of the most original and touching intros we’ve ever come across ✨

Munich’s @sonic_vibrations1989 connects minds through rave-rooted nightlife. From club energy to leftfield escapes, their DJs blend house, space disco, goa and dubby downtempo with raw attitude.

Recorded live on Holy Saturday at the infamous Snax Party in Berghain, this is the first 3 hours of an extended set. "Once a year in honor of the old Ostgut tradition, Berghain closes its doors to the straight crowd and unleashes a no-holds barred gay marathon where anything goes. Due to the circumstances of it being a different crowd and different vibe, I figured I'd upload the set which is a bit harder and funkier than I typically play." -DZ
