Dreams of my tree.

Commissioned by and composed for choreographer Cynthia Pratt, this piece was the first one written in the then brand new Butler University Electronic Music studio - it features the use of the Roland JP-8080, a machine which helped pave the way for many analog-modeling hardware synths, where a musician could grab a knob or slider and affect the sound immediately - I love this, and so many of the sounds on this piece are analog modeled sounds -  this piece in many ways is representative of my strange dream-country - nostalgic, yearning, odd, twilight, lyrical, of many contrasts, and push and pulls - odd sounds and sound effects abound, as do a number of vocal elements.
