From a distance the coastline sparkled; the huge windows of the hotels and casinos reflected the sun’s hot rays across the ocean below. People came here from all over the world to escape their lives, to blow off steam and pretend their responsibilities were non-existent for a few days. Here, the normal stresses and pressures dissipated into nothingness.

Amsterdam's Sinchi Collective continue their mission to support indigenous people across the world, whilst bringing together artists exploring the fringes of electronic music. Now in its fourth iteration, the ‘Altered States’ compilation features cuts from Pim Secle & Pelzensers, Dany E, LA Kena, Bulgakov, ILMO and Grand Riviera, spanning breakbeat, techno, synthwave, electro and punk-tinged sonics.

All profits will be donated to the Sinchi Foundation, which raises money for indigenous people.

The Dissonance dub of the title track is more like a ''house not house'' rework, to enjoy and maybe for the intimate setting. And finally, Nasgavak is a tribalish house track with elements of acid and mesmerising pads imaginable in different (psychedelic) situations or your early dj-shift.

Haut is a new remix EP by Utopyk & El Fulminador. The title track, a song with Trip-Hop atmospheres and a slow four-to-the-floor beat, has been previously released on Fulmen Records as part of the album “2011”.

This EP contains 7 tracks in total: 3 alternative versions remixed by guest musicians Montessori, Sacv and Lucare, plus 3 interpretations by El Fulminador, created during the composition of the original song. As a whole, the EP represents a stylistic trip from Trip-Hop to Disco, Slow Techno and Experimental Music.

Utopyk & El Fulminador are a duo from Spain and Argentina based in Berlin, where they founded Fulmen Records in 2014. Their music merges dark electronic beats with vocals in modern and ancient dead languages.

Liudas Lazauskas (aka Roe Deers) and Titas Motuzas are two friends and musicians from Vilnius, Lithuania. After releasing a cover at Mange Moi, and also introducing their first original release Losses (which also came in music video form), these guys are finally doing what was their initial plan - launching their own independent, Vilnius based label called “Good Skills”. 

For the first release, Good Skills is presenting two different originals from BDHBTS and eight great remixes created by dear friends from all over the world - two American Berliners, two Belgian acts, a band from Russia, and brothers from Cologne, Tauragė and Tel Aviv.

Moderna’s techno version of “Uždaras vakaras” wins the heaviest track of the release title. Darker than night, more mysterious than Voldemort, hotter than your lover. This one goes straight to your peak time folder.

One half of Multi Culti, Dreems, leaves his home port in order to swim through Shark Waters and berth on V's Le Temps Perdu label. The latest five tracker on the Lithuanian imprint is already the second outing of Dreems, after Charcoals in 2016, on the labels and takes the vibe from the now four year old release up but – of course – appears in a different light. For the EP's title track Dreems teams up with Kris Baha under their Die Orangen pseudonym and deliver what they call a “groove on a sort of Shoe-Gaze-Funk-e-Industralia rendition“ or the experience of riding a cosmic wave into the blue hour … into the ocean while being chased by people in boats with carbon paddles that cut furiously yet rhythmically through it. And just when you think you're safe a shark fin appears and the chase continues. Die Orangen re-treat of Shark Waters keeps you moving, pushes you forward, gives you rest and never lets you go – too precise or sharp are those claps as they drift over a lush bass line and float you out into the deep sea.
