Brazilian based in Germany, Celestino defines himself as "just a dinosaur playing music for love since 1992". As a producer, he has released on acclaimed labels such as Emerald & Doreen, Nein, NUFF MUSIC, Quixotical, Maleante, and Espacio Cielo, just to name a few. He has worked as the curator of the rising platform Sexy Dinosaur From Outer Space (SXDNS) @sxdns since 2018.

Techno's Primordium’ mixtape, the origins of techno.

The creator of the 303 Devilfish, Robin Whittle, once defined techno music as the sound of "machines cranking over, lovingly tended". Humans have been tending music machines, while they crank over, for a surprisingly long time.

The story in this mixtape is about the machines and those who tended them to cultivate what evolved into techno music, chronologically moving through the decades from the 1950s to the 1980s.

Including machine music by Raymond Scott, Laurie Spiegel, Einzelganger (Giorgio Moroder), Kraftwerk, DAF, and Severed Heads.

We would be surprised if you find yourself dancing to the first half of the mix, however, we would not be surprised if you find yourself a little disorientated, in a rather perplexing daydream…

Light up the party torches! Hailing straight from Berlin, we booked the magnificent Shirkaya for our 99th edition. Dark disco stalwarts Shirley Shot and Kataya have been performing together for a while now, and their chemistry provides plenty of amazing mixes. This one's not an exception! We're very proud to have them on the podcast, enjoy!

Flying Horstman is an Austrian DJ and promoter. He is the founder of the Graz collective Electric Magic Disco Bongo. His sets are loaded with Italo Disco, Dark Disco, Cosmic and Space Disco as well as some tropical grooves. Not only he’s making a name for himself as a DJ, but also as a promoter. In Vienna and his hometown Graz, the name Flying Horstman and Electric Magic Disco Bongo stands for driving disco nights with bookings from all over Europe.

Funboys is the musical partnership of Audun and a.d.a.m.baby (linktr.ee/a.d.a.m.baby), ably assisted by Poodfy.

The three have their roots in club scenes spanning more than three decades, stretching from Oslo and Antwerp, ending up on Queensland's Gold Coast. 

Local GC clubs, including the legendary Berlin Lounge Bar and internationally-renowned Elsewhere, have been the stages that launched their left-of-centre post-punk house and techno to all those strange friends and familiar strangers on the dancefloor.

Funboys has released a variety of music on Tronik Youth’s UK label NEIN Records, Golden Bug’s French label La Belle Records, Australian labels Here To Hell, Unknown Records, Sweat It Out, Club Sweat, and Future Classic. Upcoming releases scheduled for Motorik, Belly Dance Services, and Calypso Records.
