Os beats quebrados do Electro e Miami Bass já embalam os rolês por aqui há muitos verões, e, é somando a esse legado, que 18 artistas independentes de Porto Alegre (BR) e região concebem o selo colaborativo Megazord Rec. e trazem ao mundo o compilado Megazord Eletrohits. Nesse V.A quentíssimo, elus dão o seu palpite para o futuro em forma de electro, um gênero sempre conhecido por acelerar e expandir as fronteiras auditivas, e permear o imaginário com ambiências futurísticas. As faixas entregam melodias carregadas de ansiedade e incerteza, harmonizadas com graves distorcidos, tudo isso levado por baterias com o batidão de 808 nostálgico, característico dos bailes funk desde os anos 80 até hoje. Essa combinação pinta um cenário mais do que familiar, traduzindo a tensão de viver em um país como o Brasil, nesse espaço-tempo tão inflamável e conturbado. O atrito causado por todas essa grande treta inspira milhares de fagulhas em forma de arte, e é isso que o compilado do robozão coloca no jogo (e nos seus ouvidos).

Electro and Miami Bass breakbeats have been dominating the scene over here for a couple of summers, and now adding to this legacy, 18 independent artists from Porto Alegre (BR) and region conceive the collaborative label Megazord Rec., bringing to the world the compilation “Megazord Eletrohits”. In this fiery V.A, they give their guess on the future of electro, a genre always know for speeding up and expanding the audio frontiers, permeating the imaginary with futuristic ambiances. The tracks deliver melodies loaded with anxiety and uncertainty, harmonized with distorted lows, all this taken by 808 drums - characteristic from the 80’s bailes funk until this day. This combo paints a scenery more than familiar, translating the tension that is living in a country like Brazil in this space and time, so flammable and troubled. The friction caused by all this mess inspires a million of sparks in art form, and that’s what the big bot’s compilation puts on the game (and in your ears).

Bio:
Kontronatura is the Club Music project started in 2019 by Achille, DJ and producer from São Paulo, resident of the Mamba Negra.

He started his career in the Escuro collective, which explored black and Afro-diasporic identities, where the curatorial proposal was exclusively focused on black producers. His trajectory began with the influences of disco, soul and house, before delving into more experimental paths of music. As a DJ, Kontronatura's sound moves between dense and percussive rhythms, like Jungle and Footwork, with classic beats from Techno, Baltimore, Vogue and Jersey Club.

Achille liked to break expectations and mess with the listener's imagination, believing that the dancing body is free and sees the dance floor as a power to purge colonial violence.

With 2 years of experience, it has already conquered its space and gained national and international attention with its sets in partys in latin america like ODD, KODE, Mamba Negra, Hiedrah, Batekoo and his mixes aired on notable platforms such as Resident Advisor, Boiler Room, Mutant Radio and on Radio Veneno by Tijolo Records and Raio Show accompanied by Jensen Interceptor.

Achille, who is a transmasculine person, understands that his body has a political role in response to the lack of representation in the scene, in which transvestite bodies have little or no access. He takes back to himself the raw material of his existence as the greatest tool to position himself as an artist, being one of the representatives of the transmasculine community in electronic music.

O termo refere-se à morte por um incêndio que se origina sem uma fonte externa de ignição, um processo natural que carece de explicações. Através de 07 faixas autorais o álbum reúne gêneros como footwork, juke, breakbeat, jungle e dub step, além de elementos de house e Detroit techno. Na parte visual, além da memória póstuma, a obra remete a reação formada pelo atropelo entre energias distintas como um fortuno acidente, selando este encontro em um objeto artístico como parte de um ritual poético desenvolvido por Rafaela Giacomelli. Samples, arranjo e composição por DJ Mtn9090 e Marcelulose; Mixagem por Tabu e Arte gráfica por Denu.

Spontaneous Combustion (2023) is the second official album of the DJs and Producers Mtn9090 and Marcelulose, wich will be released January 15th of 2023 independently on digital platforms and also by physical media. The term refers to a death from a fire that originates without an external source of ignition, a natural process that lacks explanation. Through 07 tracks, the album brings together genres such as footwork, juke, breakbeat, jungle and dub step and elements of house and Detroit techno as well. On the visual part, besides posthumous memory, the work refers to a run over reaction caused by the collision between two different types of energy as one lucky accident, sealing this encounter in a artistic object as part of a poetic ritual developed by Rafaela Giacomelli.
