For this 338th Premiere of 2021, we have a track by Montreal based live hardware act and producer "Parts Project" titled ‘Free Party’ from his forthcoming EP "Mechanistic" on the Canadian Label operated by Pete Grove : Woodwork Recordings.

Leveraging an arsenal of samplers, synths & drum machines, Parts Project brings dark character & energy to his live sets, fusing uk bass, techno, & breaks. His productions find their flow in hardware instruments, echoing his years of DJ experience, expanding forward with a distinct sound built on a solid base of releases on Audio Bambino, Really Good, DRT Cake, Conscious Wave, Mixtechs & Woodwork.

Montreal's Parts Project enters the Woodwork arena with a fierce bass and breaks onslaught.

'Mechanistic' cracks things open with a dark, slamming percussion monster. Skipping kicks patterns paired with cyclical percussion and unwavering hi hats encapsulate raw power and syncopated nuances. Vocal chops and cavernous ambience with sparse sub squelches dot this future dub landscape.

'I Beams' stirs up an electrical storm from a single downbeat kick through its machine gun snares and hand clap attack. A shifting alarm layer shifts up and down at will, using tight intervals to contain its frantic energy. Added kick drums amplify the momentum until the beats stop in their tracks leaving the dust and sparks to settle as abruptly as they started.

'Free party' taps into an immense energy source, threatening to explode at any moment with cataclysmic force. Skittish half time breaks counteract a repetitive bit reduction riff with agitated bass stabs and steamy background fx. The tracks lands peacefully in a resolute outro, softening the menacing aspects of each element and achieving profound contrast all in one move.

A fresh techno cut emerges in 'full space'. In the grip of dirty synth riffs, a percussive rhythm track fills out a backdrop of noisy drones as big drum hits morph into dark resonant growling bass stabs.

'Collersion' rolls out the dub carpet. Static breaks with intermittent shakers support punchy laser hits and aggressive textured bass swells. Parts Project works through this ominous slow burner with tempered adjustments that carefully shifts focus among the elements.

Andrea Paz ha producido fiestas y conciertos en Santiago de Chile desde el 2005 consolidando en el camino nombres de fiestas y festivales como CLUB Sauna y Recreo Festival, en ambos participa como creativo, curador y dj residente.
También es co-fundadora del sello discográfico @discospatocarlos junto a Diegors, Alejandro Paz y Matias Rivera.

Su trayectoria como Dj comenzó el año 2007.  En sus sets desarrolla un viaje hipnótico y libre, donde los prejuicios desaparecen a la hora de transitar por estilos como house, techno, disco, ebm, matizando con sonoridades new wave y electrónica experimental, por mencionar algunos.

En mayo de 2019 lanza su primer LP “Cruz Dimensional", mezclado y masterizado por Uwe Schmidt (Atom™), publicado por Discos Pato Carlos. En enero 2021 publica "Cruz dimensional Remixes"

Ha publicado su música y remixes en variados discos compilatorios, los más recientes son:
"ETERNAL WOUND" Various Artists - Kontralamakina (Berlin 2022), "Pildoras Tapes VVAA. II" (Colombia 2022)
Algunos eventos connotados de los que ha participado son: “Antimateria presenta Esplendor Geométrico” Bogota 2022, “Antifashion” Bogota 2022, "Honcho campout" Pittsburgh 2019, "DGTL" Sao Paulo 2019, "Carroza LOCA" Marcha del Orgullo, Buenos Aires 2019, "Nano Mutek" Buenos Aires 2019, "Coro-Fundo Festival",Carnaval Rio de Janeiro 2019, "DEKMANTEL" Chile 2017, “Red light Radio” 2018 y 2020, "Boiler Room" Chile 2014.

El 2021 realizó una gira por Colombia presentada por @pildorastapes y @morfinarecords El 2019 realizó un tour por USA y México que incluyó fechas en destacados clubs como GOOD ROOM (New York), FLASH (Washington) y la participación en programas radiales legendarios como Beats In space NY, The Lot Radio NY, DubLab LA, Nopal radio CDMX.

Este año, hasta la fecha, ha girado por Buenos Aires (Fiesta Sync x djs Pareja, Fagot Party y Anormal) Mendoza (fiesta Futura), São Paulo: (festa DANDO, Club Gerome), Belo Horizonte: (Abulsa festa) y recientemente por Bogotá, Cali y Medellín.

En noviembre próximo estará tocando en Buenos Aires; Carroza LOCA (Marcha del orgullo), III Aniversario de Radio REA, Fagot, FUN FUN fiesta y en una edición de  “Of Dolls and Murder”
