A name that shall ring a bell with fellow Hive Audio enthusiasts, David Aurel follows on from his 2020-released debut on the label, "We Got Time", with the much anticipated "Sweet Pain" EP. Packed with the energy and soul that made David's sound stand from the crowd since the beginning, this new delivery from the Italian-born, Swiss-based producer marks a new high in his rising career.

Bittersweet by essence, "Sweet Pain" is the epitome of a stealth, subs-driven heavyweight piece of arsenal. Circling back to late 70s disco / early Chicago house vibrations, Aurel's new single attests to his sixth sense for crafting understated sweatbox monsters that'll etch deep into your mind from the moment the needle drops, till way after the doors have shut.

In the hands of expert brain explorer Markus Homm, the track gains a liquid-like sense of fluidness, verbed-out suavity and silky-smooth va-va-voom. The sonic equivalent to surfing endless barrels at sunset.

The ebullient, solar-powered "Morning Call" is an invitation to cast off onto even brighter shores. Fusing balearic-flavoured piano melodies with an unstoppably rousing nu-disco feel, Aurel swings the pendulum between hi-NRG club intensity and layers of deeper, lusher soulfulness to hypnotic effect.
