“This project spawned from a common interest in sonic exploration and we found that we’d constantly yearn for a place for it to breathe and grow. In the past this saw us host events in 2019, but the infamous covid-19 seized all prospects of dancing and sharing for a period then on. We then used this time to venture far and wide across the auditory landscape, pressed our ears to the ground and followed the beat, often leading down deep holes of polyrhythmic ingenuity.

Some of our favourites influences include labels such as efficient space, rhythm section, planet trip, pacific rhythm, multi culti and Disco Halal (just to name a few). We’ll always be searching for that new sound, that fresh rejuvenating groove; but seek refuge in the all inclusiveness genre bending artists/imprints that keep things moving and interesting.” Land Of

Red Axes have just dropped the recording of a very special 5 hour set in Room 2. Now available to stream, this exclusive recording from this time last year is a deep-dive into the staple sound of the punk-edged duo.

Made up of Tel-Aviv Based producers and DJs Dori Sadovnik & Niv Arzi, Red Axes have been more than catching our eyes and ears over the past few years.  So much so, we’re keen to share our passion for the duo elsewhere, even taking them to other venues such as Village Underground for another special extended session earlier this year.

The pair have roots in rock music and begun their creative collaboration when they were in a band together. So perhaps it is unsuprising that today, their electronic music projects delve into a sound that roams through psychedelic electronica, post-punk and new wave elements, often dipping into a retro rock and 80’s hued sound that first fuelled their sonic spark.

For this single Cobblestone Jazz joined by friend, bandmate and hypnotic discotheque collagist The Mole.
Hip Waders comes from one of the group’s long studio sessions, and this gem of a jam was laid to tape after a couple days of playing. Usually the group likes to set the studio up first (tuning the room, picking their instruments and setting up the patch bay), before exploring and recording musical ideas over the rest of the week. Although bouncing along at 120bpm, Hip Waders still strides into deep waters, courtesy of jazzy, tremolo chords that ripple across its skittish electronic groove, which constantly unfolds across a full 13 minutes.

Two longtime good friends join forces and discover new paths in the process. Their collaborative project is set to be released on Live At Robert Johnson on July 7th.

After an all-night back-to-back DJ set many moons ago, Cooper and Kasper kept in touch and the idea sprung to life to produce an EP together.  During their remote sessions between Vancouver and Copenhagen, three sonic excursions emerged as shiny timeless pearls from their communal studio in the clouds - three tracks that sound pretty far from most club tunes these days. These virtually born babies represent three different points in time. This could be during an imaginative never-ending party or a long road trip down south as you prefer.

Starting off with the lush Balearic dubbed-out vibes of 17:56 PM that remind us that slow tracks are still important. 02:47 AM picks up the pace and its driving SH 101 bassline brings you toward salvation. The dreamy synths and euphoric atmosphere of 06:13 AM make this a sunrise weapon for any proper summer rave - closing off their EP in a shimmery bliss.

Diego Perrisson continues the ep with a direct blow to your legs, those poisonous drums and the sound of the poly 800 transports you to a dance floor in Chicago in the mid 90's, sh 101 does a very precise work with low fat and acids For then a break in the middle of the track appears an oasis with smooth and delicate strings, warm sound and direct, powerful

The mysterious Taelue redoubles the bet with a track techno / deep, hypnotic sounds throughout the track make of this piece a versatile track easy to play, its subtle darkness keep us captive and pending of how the track will continue until the end, The bassline do with we can not stop moving, no doubt an ace of Taelue

Chicagodeep closes the ep in a masterful way, they say that the main dish is always at the end and it is exactly what happens with this masterpiece
Native of Chicago, this dj and producer, hardware collector, knows very well how to do his work, from his platform Perpetual Rhythms, knew to conquer the most demanding ears, acclaimed by the press and colleagues.  Chicagodeep with 4th chamber  is a clear example because it has gained its place in the game.
