Diminished from grace, they shall fall.
In fear of enemy chariots,
Spears and stone balls.

Even when the last bridge is blown 
Mon Général, we shall fight 
Even if we surely know 
There is no chance to last through the night.

Even when we know that the dawn
Would bring death at the hands of these brutes,
Even when all the hopes are gone – 
And Motherland stomped by the enemy’s boots.

Mon Général, the future bards shall sing.
Or maybe not, no clue,
That’s not the reason – we shall stand
Because if not us – then who?

More than ever, as all brave men could, 
Even if against our force
Rises the Evil, known and obscured

He and others - you learned - now are dead
After a bloody and vicious fight.

To those bastards with rifles and knives, 
Who's so eager to mercilessly slain 
Your children, your mother, your wife —

And who else had to have blood on their hands
If you're caught not prepared for the worst?
No one wanted your job, dear friend,
So you must shoot the enemy first.

Until you've got your first kill, don’t

Or the land where you grew up - your land.
 
If your brother destroyed orcs in a rage

And it’s not retribution for you.

Watch them firing ferocious shots.
Your neighbors, your siblings, your friends -
They are soldiers, and yet, you are not.

It's not "maybe."
It is "Yes, I must."
There are no more excuses for you.
