On Primitive Electronic Rhythms, London-based producer Rob Redford dives deep into the soulful lineage of house music, delivering four analog-rich cuts that echo the spirit of Glen Underground, Ron Trent, and the Prescription-era greats. The EP blends spiritual grooves, warm synth work, and hypnotic percussion into a sound that feels both classic and completely fresh.

This is deep house for late-night dancers and inner journeys, raw rhythmic, and emotionally resonant. Rob reminds us that the most powerful rhythms are often the most primitive.

The album covers aspects of the Deep House genre in its classic definition, pushing certain boundaries, whilst maintaining the spirit of the genre through feeling and utilising melodies and rhythm to evoke emotions which go beyond the dance floor. 

Keeping it raw throughout the nine tracks, each one incorporates different elements of the music spectrum. Implementing jazzy tweaks, minimalistic rhythms, haunting melodies as well as ambience and globals sounds in a full dancing and listening experience.

First up is the EP “Blue Dream” by Polish producer KODI. With more than a decade in electronic music, @kodigrooves has crafted a signature sound that fuses the raw energy of techno with the hazy textures of lo-fi house.

From his first deep house tracks in 2013 to underground techno releases, KODI has steadily explored the edges of the scene, taking full control of mixing and mastering along the way. The Blue Dream EP is the result of that journey — hypnotic, distorted, and uncompromising, carried by the relentless pulse of the Roland TR-8.

For our final release of the year on Shades Of Sound Recordings, our global spotlight for exciting new music falls on Buenos Aires, where Argentinian producer On The Reg (@otrmusica) delivers a stunning 4-track EP of deep house and balearica.

This collection sees a blending of warm, rolling grooves with lush pads, sun-washed melodies, and subtle organic textures. A sound that glides effortlessly between late-night introspection and golden-hour calm with nods to ‘90s downtempo and breakbeat influences, infusing the EP with a nostalgic edge that recalls early Café del Mar compilations and the halcyon days of chillout rooms and coastal sunsets.

Across its four pieces, Hernán captures that timeless Balearic balance between rhythm and reflection, offering music equally suited to intimate club sets, beachside sessions, and long night drives.

The EP will be available digitally on 18th November via Shades Of Sound Recordings, closing out a year of globally inspired deep house, downtempo, and electronica releases.
