Following the tragic passing of the great Brazilian drummer, percussionist, and vocalist Wilson Das Neves, we've put together a mixtape featuring some of our favourite moments from Wilson's six-decade career, chosen from over 600 recordings which feature his pioneering playing. The mix includes music from some of Wilson's solo projects from the '60s onwards, as well as tracks written by Marcos Valle, Ed Lincoln, Roberto Menescal, Moacir Santos, Quarteto Em Cy and of course Wilson's own group The Ipanemas, who recorded five fantastic albums for Far Out Recordings. Ô Sorte Wilson! You will be sorely missed.

Bridging the Italian house tradition with a touch of modern funk, Davide Santandrea, better known as Rame, and the Brothers Riccardo and Francesco Cardelli, are making a  name for themselves nowadays under the  Capofortuna moniker. Mixing different experiences and backgrounds,  Capofortuna channels the Italo disco / Italian house  tradition driving it towards a contemporary musical  horizon made up of relentless, warm and seductive  grooves performed live with instruments and analog  hardware. 
"timeless interstellar funk, without gravity, without  compromise” , this is the essence of their sound.
Capofortuna debuts on  Cognitiva Records with the "Rising  Grace EP" that includes three original plus a remix by Leo Mas & Fabrice.
"Bouncing for the love of bouncing" here premiered,  is a huge slice of funk-fueled Italo. Sporting to monster bassline some great synths and superb leads!

Funk Rimini nasce nel 2008 come collettivo organizzando feste e jam session nella Riviera Romagnola. Nel 2015 il sacro fuoco del funk li trasforma in una band, poliedrico riassunto di tutte le loro esperienze.
Funk ed Elettronica prendono forma attraverso synth d'annata, batterie elettroniche, basso, chitarra e una vocalità avvolgente in live magici ed esplosivi.

La formazione oggi è composta da Ricky Cardelli (cantante), Franz Crimson (chitarrista e bassista), Kambo (DJ), Enrico Giannini (tastierista) e Kino (batterista).

Hanno pubblicato il loro primo EP “Funk Rimini” nel 2016 e nel 2017 l’album “Remixes” in collaborazione con 14 artisti; nel 2018 esce “Flowsane”anticipato dall’EP “Bounce da Jam”. Nel 2019 esce nella compilation “Italo Funk” (Soul Clap Records) il brano “Don’t Smoke” insieme a molti artisti della scena italiana. Nel 2019 esce “Save It Or Loose It” per la compilation “Earth Night 2019” che coinvolge oltre 60 artisti da 12 nazioni per sensibilizzare la scena globale della nightlife sul cambiamento climatico.
