French DJ/producer Lifelike (a.k.a. Laurent Ash) counts himself one of the band’s diehard admirers. In fact, his fondness for the Mondays is so strong that he took it upon himself to craft a rousing remix of their classic breakthrough track “Hallelujah” — a single from their 1989 Madchester Rave On EP — which we are honored to world premiere. Bronski Beat - Smalltown Boy (Unknown Re:Rub)

One of the most influential late 80s recording for me constructed mainly from samples. Genius work and a lot of effort put in this translated in a Grammy nomination in 1989. 
I always wanted to prolong the main theme and turn down the testosterone on the samples so I can use it today in 2013. I have used a couple of loops from the original and then overdubbed everything else as well as recreating a few sampling parts from scratch.
Enjoy and keep the funk alive.
