Dissident mainstay Abstrakt.Digital returns to the label following his top 5 multi-genre release “Vox Aeterna” earlier this year! With Shadow, AD calls forth a darker driving progressive sound, summoning arcane forces and employing ancient hermetic principles to bring balance to dance floors everywhere; and enlisting two legendary remixers in the process. We’ve been excited for this release for some time, and we are happy to share it with you now.

The original mix is a straight up 4/4 progressive banger, a certified floor-mover worthy of the wizardry it calls to mind. Lush melodies intertwine themselves with mystic chants and driving beats to deliver a treat for progressive and melodic house lovers everywhere. Gai Barone takes things to an even deeper and darker place, while Noel Sanger turns in a belter of a dirty progressive breaks remix. Both remixers add their inimitable touch while remaining true to the spirit of the original, for a properly well-rounded package.

This Shadow falls across the land just in time for Spooky Season, and will release worldwide on Halloween. We hope you love this one just as much as we do!

On March 13th, ahead of Miami Music Week next month, POPOF’s esteemed label FORM Music is to release a special EP showcasing some of the imprint’s most exciting talent entitled, ‘FORM Miami Sampler 2017’.

Since its formation in 2009, FORM Music has rapidly established itself as one of the most innovative and ambitious Dance labels, working alongside both established and new artists including Julian Jeweil, Sébastien Léger, Animal & Me, Mendo, Philip Bader, Petar Dundov, DJ Fronter, Jay Lumen as well as offerings from the label’s head honcho himself.

Kicking off the five-track release is Audiosense’s ‘No Code’, featuring a gorgeous medley of elegant synths and other serene pad-tones. DJ Raid’s ‘Aural Dimension’ follows, a tougher, darker melodic Techno outing that perfectly leads into Mycron X & Rekorder’s, ‘Border Line’, again intelligently utilising delicate strings to contrast the tougher, bass-heavy elements of the six-minute number. 

George Privatti & Aitor Ronda’s ‘Sioux’ sees the EP further intensify as the duo combine a tough Techno groove with an arpeggiated bassline and a ravey piano riff to great effect. Next up, the rolling Tech House number, ‘Give It To Me’, from Siwell & Vlada Asanin concludes the release, featuring funk-laden vocals layered over a pounding four-to-the-floor rhythm - a perfect way to close this excellent release. 
 ‘FORM Miami Music Sampler 2017’ EP is available via Beatport on 13th March and everywhere else two weeks later.
