I know dj's like to seem to be eclectic... And it's oart of their creation... However, if you analize previous and posterior song, theu go to another level, and this slow comercial house only delays what was the beginning of a masterful work.

Bio:
Una extensa carrera consolidada a base de buen gusto y vanguardia ubicó a Carlos Alfonsín como una pieza clave dentro de la escena musical argentina.  Referente de varias generaciones de músicos y DJs, su sonido en constante evolución mira siempre hacia adelante, siendo uno de los pioneros de muchas de las nuevas tendencias que hoy conocemos.
En 1991 decidió focalizar su trabajo exclusivamente en la música. A partir de ese momento comenzó una serie de residencias que incluyeron El Dorado, El Cielo, La Morocha (Córdoba), El Odeón, Morocco, las mundialmente reconocidas noches de Clubland en Pachá y el ciclo Soup. Por su trabajo en la cabina de El Dorado donde fue único residente  en el 91 y 92 fue elegido como mejor Dj de la escena local.
Su espíritu innovador, reflejado tanto en climáticos sets como en intensas sesiones de baile, lo lleva a ser particularmente requerido por las marcas de primer nivel para ambientar sus desfiles o eventos de presentación. En cuanto a clubs su presencia es constante en todas las provincias Argentinas, siendo uno de los Dj con mas fechas en el interior del país y en las cabinas mas importantes de Buenos Aires.
Otra especialidad que lo caracterizo a lo largo de los años fueron los atardeceres que musicalizo en Punta del Este donde mantuvo célebres residencias en el espacio ocupado sucesivamente por el Guess Beachstore, Chivas Lounge y Cream en el Mar, escogido los 12 años consecutivos como el mejor spot esteño. A sus visitas a Uruguay, en el extranjero suma destacadas presentaciones en Creamfields Liverpool  y clubs europeos y latinoamericanos
En el orden local fue promotor y anfitrión de cabina de figuras de primer nivel internacional que visitaron el país desde siempre. Participó en nueve ediciones del festival Creamfields Buenos Aires y residente de Cream internacional hasta 2009 
En Buenos Aires en Back Up! junto a Dany Nijensohn en Niceto Club  donde participan muchos de los principales djs y productores y ciclos emergentes de la escena local, y artistas internacionales invitados como Frankey & Sandrino, Karmon, Magdalena, Ellen Alien, Danny Howells, Nick Muir durante 2014 2015 y 2016

The warm up set I played at Motion, supporting the most legendary Sasha & Digweed and Nick Warren. This is my most requested and possibly most appreciated warm up set so had to upload it! The night was one I will always remember, was a huge moment to open up for my teenage heroes and there was such an incredible vibe and the place was packed with excited ravers from doors open. It's nearly two hours and starts chuggy and dreamy, picking up the pace as things progressed. And of course I dropped a few Sasha classics and golden oldies mixed with some new prog and trance x

Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen's collaborative project Kiasmos continues to spread Icelandic techno with new Thrown EP featuring remixes by FaltyDL and 65daysofstatic.

After having revealed the title track Thrown via XLR8R in April, Kiasmos announce the release of their Thrown EP featuring brand new track Wrecked and two guest remixes by FaltyDL – one of New York's finest electronic producers – and UK's industrial post rock pioneers 65daysofstatic in the form of a12"/DL on Erased Tapes.

A1: THROWN
Ólafur explains: ‘Thrown is the first track of the "New Kiasmos", so to speak. Actually, Thrown is kind of a remix of a new Ólafur Arnalds track that hasn't even been released yet.’ ‘It has become the track that we use as a reference for all our newer stuff’, adds Janus.

A2: THROWN (FALTYDL REMIX)
‘Remixing used to be a very special thing. Not so much anymore. And when you're done, it will end up as a free download and most likely not on vinyl. It's bullshit. So when I get the opportunity to make an actual record, an object that will last longer then any of us, I jump on it. I have pleasures in my life. Doing this remix was one of them’, says Drew Lustman aka FaltyDL.

Janus: ‘I don't really know what we were thinking when we started working on Wrecked.’ ‘Wrecked is our experiment with a new Doepfer synth. The song is severely out of tune’, adds Ólafur.

B2: WRECKED (65DAYSOFSTATIC REMIX)
‘It was quite a challenging remix to do, because it's such a minimal, understated track. The usual 65 approach of pulling out key refrains and messing with them didn't work because the bass is such a unique, dark sound. Likewise, I was reluctant to add too much new material because each attempt at that quickly veered into writing what sounded like a new song. Too many remixes these days are done to provide quick and easy bonus tracks for artists to giveaway, which is a shame, because when done properly, I think a remix is a great way to see a track you're familiar with as a listener in a new way’, explains Paul Wolinski of 65daysofstatic.

Janus: ‘I'm really excited about the remixes. They are both very different from each other and give the songs a new life. It's always great fun to hear someone make the tracks their own.’


ABOUT:

Kiasmos is the brainchild of Icelandic modern classical composer Ólafur Arnalds and Bloodgroup mastermind Janus Rasmussen from the Faroe Islands. Based in Reykjavík, Arnalds used to work as a sound engineer – often for Rasmussen's main project Bloodgroup – where the two musicians discovered their common love for minimal, experimental techno music. They eventually became best friends, and Janus now often accompanies Ólafur's solo shows with his electronics. ‘I am really enthusiastic about this project. Finally, I can make music that people can dance to. Something refreshing for the weekends’, explains Arnalds in an interview with the German electronic music magazine Beat. The project is a good way for both artists to ‘get out of the house’ so to speak and do different music to what they normally do. Having released their 65/Milo split 12" with label mate Rival Consoles in 2009, this year sees the duo return with the hotly tipped Thrown EP and a string of European club shows.

The Barcelona based DJ and producer's influence across the tech house and techno scene over the last 20 years is indisputable. 

His melodic masterpiece "Diabla", released in 2001 became a huge global hit and DJ Mag's 'techno record of the year'. Played by house, progressive, techno even trance DJs, its release saw the Scot’s career soar to new heights! 

Other hits "Jack Me Off," "Bad Coffee”, "Emotional Content", remixes for Underworld, New Order, and Laurent Garnier, plus releases for Bedrock, Drumcode, and All Day I Dream, are just a mere snapshot of his discography. 

Seminal mix compilations for Balance Series, Soma's Sci-Fi Hi-Fi, and Cocoon followed, further cementing his place in dance music history. 

Still not content with conquering techno, Sandberg was mystery figure behind “Francois Dubois”, with releases such "Blood" and "I Try" named as a big influence for Darius Syrossian, plus many other leading tech house DJs of his generation.
