Juno Download Review: Review: As always with the Big Fat Mama Beats crew, the vibes are plentiful with their latest release drop, which sees the one they call Leygo return with four tracks packed with pure fire across the first edition of 'Shake N Break'. We begin with the ghoulish vocal sampling and scattered breakbeat drum designs of 'Get It Tonight', followed closely by the more funk influenced vocal lines and tearout reese basses of 'Music'. From here we galavant into the sharpened synthesizer writhings and chomping percussion of 'Rock Me Baby', before rounding off with 'Vital Signs', a blissful exploration into nostalgic keys and grizzly drum scatters!

Los Angeles based producer Nick Alvarado and vocalist EVeryman have teamed to form Little Giants, who aim to make proper hip-hop music for your mind, body and soul. Pairing inspired, thought-provoking lyrics set over crisp, funky beats, the sounds of Little Giants harken back to the golden era of hip-hop. This release commemorates the memory of Nick 'Pumpkin' Alvarado, who touched thousands of people with his signature music productions and acclaimed DJ sets at top music festivals and clubs across the US and abroad. He tragically passed away on March 25th 2016, but his generous spirit and magical music will continue to live on. 

To honor his memory, Nick's best friend and Little Giants production partner, Evan 'Everyman' Shafran, started The Little Giant Acorn Foundation for The Arts, a non-profit organization that helps children get started in music or the performing arts who otherwise could not afford to do so. Nick absolutely loved to share his passion for music and performance art with the next generation and nothing gave him more joy. 

By purchasing this LITTLE GIANTS album you are helping to ensure that Nick's spirit continues to shine while ensuring that the next generations of 'little acorns' have the means to pursue their creative passions. It was always a dream of Nick's to have a record label of his own and to help the youth. Qdup is back for summer and his booty-shaking 808-laced hip-hop breaks monster “Sonic Drop ft Awoke” has been remixed into three different directions, all of them destined to rock the dancefloor. The original version, with San Francisco b-girl Awoke’s fresh lyrics, has been doing damage all spring and now Qdup has enlisted some good friends to reinterpret his party anthem. The results are just as funkin’ delicious as you might imagine, Sonic Drop has truly been taken to the next level with these three remixes.
Label bosses Fort Knox Five slowed the tempo and dropped their signature electronic-meets-live instrumentation sound. Rob Myers, who also plays with the Thievery Corporation live band added some funky guitars to this stellar remix. Awoke’s party flow shines over the funk grooves as the bass and beats drive you straight to the dancefloor. It’s a funky party over here; now push it!
You may know Bradley Drop from his heavy presence in the Beatport Top 10 Breaks charts over the last year. Another Washington DC area music producer, Bradley Drop makes his debut appearance on Fort Knox Recordings with this remix. He pushed up the rave level and turned up the breaks pressure to 11, this breaks gem will fire up any crowd!
