The Berlin-based Italian DJ and Producer has established himself as a respected figure in the techno community with his fast-paced, high-energy sets that transition through deep and hard beats, grooves, and hypnotic loops.

No.Name's passion for electronic music began in his hometown of Bergamo, Italy, where he was introduced to techno and electronic music through illegal rave parties. Today, his musical influence comes from legends such as Regis, Surgeon, Blawan, and sleeparchive, which he incorporates into his productions and sets. In addition to his impressive music career, No.Name is also the co-founder of the Crea Party based in Milan, which showcases and combines the finest techno talents with mesmerising visual artist. 

No.Name's sets are known for their dance floor orientation and ability to keep the crowd moving all night long. He's released music on well-respected labels such as Room Trax, Syxt, and Secession, and last year he released nine self-releases on his bandcamp, which received great support from the likes of Setaoc Mass, Matrixxman, Fiedel, Amotik, Kwartz, and many more.

Podcast number 75 is provided by Romens Dawn,  a '90s born Amsterdam native with a passion for music and niche creativity. In his youth he always liked the sound of high-energy electronic music and found inspiration in unique environments and moments. He started his techno DJ career in 2018 after being introduced to the scene by relatives working on music production, fashion, and art. 

The variety of sounds in Romen's tracks reflect his unique personality, from dark undertones to playful grooves and trancy textures. He found his north star in making people dance, regardless of their culture or background.

ANTIDOTE PODCAST 075: ROMENS DAWN

@TimJa's selections are versatile on genre (Techno, Trance, Acid, Electro, Hardhouse) while sharing a common trait which he calls “groove”, defined by rich & complex rhythmic patterns formed by the interactions of the various elements that form each track, in addition to otherworldy atmospheric textures ranging from sci-fi to full fantasy. His setlists are prepared on the basis of those patterns complementing each other in interesting ways, smoothly blending into one entity, telling a story from the start till the end of his set. 

TimJa has organized and curated a number of events in various musical directions and legal/illegal venues in the past 2 years. His last project was called IDENTITÄT which focuses on providing new niche sounds to the crowd by focusing on rising talents regardless of the usual unfair standards, in addition to making multi-disciplinary events with a special element in each event.

Gingershot has a wide range of tastes in music: she feels that harsh, grating industrial style is as close to her as the emotional and fragile heartbreaking vocals. The point for her is to thicken the sound to fulfill the well-known aesthetic formula: 1 + 1 = 3. While she freely juggles genres and loves to get lost in expanding her music library, she also educates herself on the theory of music and the philosophy of arts academically.

She entered the Hungarian techno scene in 2018, after years of gathering tracks since 2021 she has been a frequently invited DJ at various events. However, she also actively publishes about the local scene which she likes to be a member and an observer of, too. Out of the capital she has been invited to other cities in Hungary, also played in Berlin, and released a guest mix in Madrid. In Budapest, she is a resident of the Kindergarten event series.

This time she would like to show us her progressive selection of club techno, tribal, and hypnotic grooves with a hint of remarkable sound design and experimental motifs.

Moral's journey into the electronic music world began at a young age, navigating through various musical styles and experimenting with different sounds but the culture of techno is what really got him in the end. The music is now a significant part of his everyday life. Whenever he steps onto the stage, his goal is clear: He is always trying to give a piece of himself and his taste.

Within techno, two genres resonate deeply with Moral: hard techno and  groove. He constantly strives to create a performance that seamlessly melds with the atmosphere of the party while staying true to his individual style.

His fusion of hard techno's raw power with the irresistible groove creates a sonic tapestry that enthralls the audience. Balancing the pulsating energy of his beats with an intuitive understanding of the crowd's vibe.

He felt in love with the experimental, raw, loopy and hypnotic techno inmediatly, meanwhile he is trying to avoid the cliches, playing the finest bangers and keeping the proper techno alive. Also co-founder of @algum-ritmo , a portuguese crew label that has been earning respect in the scene, marking their footprint on the community. Trying his best to keep the pace with a distinct and diverse palette of sounds on his sets, surfing between scratched raw shapes and hypnotic outerworld atmos.

Lenz’ zijn passie voor techno vloeit voort uit illegale raves, deze liefde voor de undeground leidde tot de overstap van de dansvloer naar de dj-booth. Stijlistisch staat Lenz haaks op de huidige technotrends, waarbij hij de nadruk legt op hypnotiserende patronen en donkere sferen. Zijn stijl van driving techno heeft hem tot een vaste waarde in heel Nederland gemaakt, waarbij hij zijn voeten heeft gezet in clubs zoals Paradiso, Club Atelier & Club Basis.

Zijn trackselectie behoudt een sterke invloed aan de klassieke jaren van techno, waarbij hij veel invloed haalt uit tijdperk van de jaren 2010 - 2019. Het stapelen van meerdere lagen van driving grooves is zijn handelsmerk, waarbij hij een percussieve overload presenteert die de danser in een andere dimensie zuigt.

Naast het draaien, is Lenz ook mede-oprichter van het collectief De After, wat hem in staat heeft gesteld om zijn visie van de underground verder te presenteren, te beginnen met een uitverkochte editie in Club Atelier, gevolgd door meerdere edities in Club de With & Noordwaards.
