Happy Gap

This is my first track in over 18 months.  Life got hectic, but I found some new workflow, which means this is also my first track done entirely on my iPhone in years, rather than using the iPad.  Using the phone meant I could work in bits and pieces as time permitted with 5-10 minutes here and there wherever I happened to be.

The New Tech refers to all the new apps that I was slowly adding to my phone but had been gathering cyber-dust during my music hiatus, which I now delved into for this track.

This College & The Too Stoned Story

The somewhat Sci-Fi vibe wasn't planned, but as layers where added, this track started feel like it was 70's retro Sci-Fi inside a modern electronic wrapper.  Of course, that's just how I heard it.  Regardless, it was fun to play and record.

Hello everyone!  Welcome to my sonic sketchpad.  Many of the tracks are the result of experimentation with iOS apps and related devices; a few are more thought-out demos recorded in Ableton Live or Cakewalk Sonar.  I highly recommend apps like Loopy HD, Audiobus, Nave, Figure, Pattern, most of Wizdom Music's and all of Korg's iOS instruments; I love my iRig Midi interface!

Psyrchus Praximus Productions (PPP) are recordings and projects initiated and/or produced by Ted Keylon at The Lab in The Bomb Shelter, Electrical Octopus, South Wing, and Ghost Ship Studios. They generally fall within experimental, noise, rock, loud, electronic, psychedelic, and some acoustic categories and I, Ted, am usually either playing ukulele, drums, bass, vox, assorted noise-makers (Evan Mitchell’s electric suitcase, the Schprong Box (my design), optical air effects, dual oscillating Yamaha Portasound synth, circuit bent HR-16 drum machine, ADHD Glitch Synth circuit, Crank Sturgeon noise boxes, body contact glitch circuit board, metal pipes, automobile radiator, cheap grandfather clock guts, Illy 10 pound coffee cans from Capitol Cafe in Springfield, IL circa 1997, through boutique and indie pedals such as GutterNoize,  Death by Audio, Electro-Faustus, Earthquaker, JHS, and Electro Harmonix, etc. or any combination thereof) recorded on a full spectrum field recorder or Linux DAW (Ardour), otherwise known as The Penguin.
