PHIST is a deep bass music producer and DJ out of Raleigh, North Carolina. He has been at the helm of his project since 2017. Equipped with unreleased music from his peers and his own original works spanning many different genres, listeners will find that nothing is off-limits within his style. You can expect a taste of deep dubstep, trap, reggae, drum & bass, garage, and more. His infatuation with musical history, as well as the nuances of soundsystem culture and community fostered by sound, has truly chiseled his exploratory and creative mind into the adept artist we all know and love today. PHIST is currently riding a propulsive momentum, continuously releasing music and getting booked with some of the nation’s greatest talents. The Netherlands’ finest deep bass badman Kwizma is back on DDD for his first EP release since 2020’s Monster. 

Macaw EP drops on March 28th, and we present "Vivere", the third track from the EP a day early to whet your appetite.

It’s been worth the five year wait, as with Macaw EP he has flown to new heights to create a collective of 140 tracks that showcase his incredible musicality, technical prowess and penchant for all things deep, dark & dangerous in devastating fashion. 

Trojan Horse and title track Macaw work in tandem as a tantalizing 1-2 punch, with both tunes creating sublime world-influenced atmospheric soundscapes, before the sub-fuelled drops do the business - both firm favourites of DDD bossmen, Truth. 

Vivere then flips the vibe to a place of meditative bliss, with dub reggae inflections, stunning chords and exquisite percussion choices - as the bird soars above the clouds - before system banger Huntsman tears down the place with its mad energy as it hurtles back down to earth. 

Macaw (Tree Top VIP) wraps things up with aplomb, dovetailing perfectly to encapsulate the full breadth of the EP’s sonics, craft and bass pressure. 

Year of the snake? Nah. Kwizma has ensured 2025 is the year of the Macaw.
