Hailing from Southern California, Beth Cohen aka @ladylavendersound is a DJ, party starter and dancer. Splitting her time between New Orleans and Washington DC, she is known for her serious yet upbeat approach to dance music. Lady Lavender's sound is selective but carefree, and always with a dance floor in mind. She enjoys playing on both vinyl and digital mediums, within the spectrum of house, techno, electro, breaks, disco, garage, and more. 

Her b2b alias with fellow DJ Nile Ashton is Secret Handshake (@secrethandshakevip) - in which they curate shows combining underground electronic music, visual art, and dance. Her most recent project is N*S*F*W (@nsfw-nola) - a b3b with DJs D1ME (@d1meee) and Gabriela (@soundsbygabriela), throwing quarterly parties that cater to lovers of leather & techno. Here in DC she has become a regular in the underground, playing with collectives such as Hast Du Feuer, 140+, Dance Club and more.

Nile Ashton is a multi-instrumentalist turned DJ/producer from Durham, North Carolina. Now based in New Orleans, and with over a decade of experience DJing and producing events in any setting imaginable, he has honed in on his multi-faceted, multi-genre approach to underground dance music that combines modern club sensibility with a classic understanding of rhythm and groove.

He is also one-half of the power DJ duo Secret Handshake @SecretHandshakevip, alongside the DC-based Lady Lavender @LadyLavendersound. This project explores the musical styles of electro, breakbeat, and techno with a mission to lead the cutting edge of faster, darker, and heavier underground dance music for the new generations. Through their sets and thoughtfully envisioned events, the duo has made waves, introducing new audiences to the darker side of club music & garnering praise from long time enthusiasts.

As the Musical Director of The Rabbit Hole, a popular New Orleans music venue, Nile continues to help curate and shape the landscape of the underground community in New Orleans, balancing it with the city's rich cultural history and reputation for total, unhindered creative expression.

@virtue_signal aka Sam Haque is a DJ, producer, writer, and heathen who proudly calls New Orleans home.

Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, he spent his early childhood years in Osaka, Japan and then Maryland, USA before eventually digging his roots into New Orleans.

His origins in music & nightlife were on the dancefloor, a sacred space of free expression and catharsis. He started out as the sweatiest dancer in the New Orleans underground/DIY scene, and hustled his way through the community to take on a variety of roles - nightlife journalist, artist liaison, and artist manager. Over time, he found his own voice as an artist, and continues to hone his craft on the decks as well as in the studio.
