Hailing from Southern California, Beth Cohen aka @ladylavendersound is a DJ, party starter and dancer. Splitting her time between New Orleans and Washington DC, she is known for her serious yet upbeat approach to dance music. Lady Lavender's sound is selective but carefree, and always with a dance floor in mind. She enjoys playing on both vinyl and digital mediums, within the spectrum of house, techno, electro, breaks, disco, garage, and more. 

Her b2b alias with fellow DJ Nile Ashton is Secret Handshake (@secrethandshakevip) - in which they curate shows combining underground electronic music, visual art, and dance. Her most recent project is N*S*F*W (@nsfw-nola) - a b3b with DJs D1ME (@d1meee) and Gabriela (@soundsbygabriela), throwing quarterly parties that cater to lovers of leather & techno. Here in DC she has become a regular in the underground, playing with collectives such as Hast Du Feuer, 140+, Dance Club and more.
