Chocolate | Sleeping Beauty (1993)

First released in 21 years ago in 1996 under my own name. This was my first real solo release on Monkey Funk Records. This record opened a lot of doors for me. Artwork by Leo Estob. Monkey funk was a label started by Orin Walters (Bugz in The Attic) and Nick Prince to release music that very few were actually making back then. I was making Trip Hop in the very early 90's before most folk called it Trip Hop. This tune features Barry Blackwell on Sax and was the first time I'd used horn lines on a tune. Amongst all the music I made and released back then, this is a tack I'm still very proud of.
