House of Hustle is proud to present our Two Tails' debut album "Vicky”. When James pitched us the idea, we were immediately intrigued. Throughout the years he has consistently brought us quality tunes, and we are happy to say, this 13-track album, never dips below the quality we've come to expect from him.

In fact, James blew us away, with the sheer quality he managed to compile on "Vicky." The pandemic turned out to be a catalyst for James. Whilst one track existed before the pandemic, the other 12 were fully produced during the lockdown, a great way to make the most out of a time of global uncertainty. The album includes a number of exciting collaborations with talented artists such as Anna Brinckmann, Colossi Rah, Hot Pot, Aylene, CARZi, Contribe, Lucy Knox, ChrisKhaos and Story Of One. Each of them brings a unique flavor to this gem of a production.

Joran van Pol is back on Minus with Edge, a fantastic four track EP that is his first on the label since 2013. In the years since, the Amsterdam based artist has set up his own FADE label and has continued to evolve his cinematic techno sound. 

Previously, van Pol has also released on labels like Rejected, SCI+TEC and Ideal Audio, and has the support of all the big techno players who often reach for his tunes in their sets. As a DJ he is just as in demand, with headline slots everywhere from Space Ibiza to Time Warp all behind him. Having recently set up a new studio, he is still coming on strong with fresh inspiration and ever more essential grooves. 

‘Illos’ opens things with seven spooky minutes of icy techno. Rolling rubbery drums pump away below, and the details up top make for an evocative soundscape with distant industrial sounds, groaning bass and razor sharp hi hats all filling your mind with imagery. Next comes title track ‘Edge’, another brilliant sonic landscape with tense chords repeating over ticking percussion. It’s a track that builds tension throughout, and keeps you looking over your shoulder into the eerie blackness. 





The perfectly high pressure ‘Return’ is one that locks you in and never lets up, with warped synths snaking above traintrack like drums and hits. A dark, rumbling bassline and the sounds of pistons releasing air all add to the intensity of this brain-melting bit of futuristic techno. 

Last but not least, ‘Frostbite’ is then the most spacious and spooky offering of the lot. It has freaky alien sound designs scattered around the track with supple kicks driving the whole thing forwards. It’s an absorbing cut that hurries along and takes you for a thrilling ride. 

These are four more inventive techno tracks from one of the contemporary scene’s brightest stars.

Originally released over 20 years ago, Y-Traxx's "Mystery Land" gets a techno facelift from UK duo and Kraftek regulars Spektre. Stripping away some of the more trancey elements without sacrificing the emotive uplifting heart of the original, the remix is a perfect summer festival record.

Without consistently recording the atmosphere, it is impossible to say with certainty how often astroids collide. We can although make assumptions from what we have recorded in the past. 

We now know this has happened at least twice in our lifetime. Planet Earth (Canada to be specific) was lucky enough to have both these otherwise catastrophic events happen right above festival goers in both 2017 and 18. The remnants of the astroid dust sprinkled down onto the shoulders of three of the coolest producers out there.

Some say it was fate, some say it was luck but we can say with 100% certainty, this is fact. The boys have transformed this event into a two tracker for you guy which is out of this world. 

Dance With Me is an absolute club banger from beginning to end while Do You Want Me takes you a bit deeper into their moody sides. Some say these astroids get you high. Maybe this is the bi-product of some crazy trip they went on together.

We are very happy to have these guys join the family at BOC for the first time and what hopefully won’t be the last.
