Billenkoek Vol. 1 is our saucy opening chapter, steaming with 14 club-ready tracks that indisputably solidify our distinctive lush, vibrant, and playful sound.

“Billenkoek” is a Dutch term that can be loosely translated as “bumcake,” but a more accurate translation would be “spanking.” In this case, it refers not so much to the punishment, but rather to a playful interpretation of it — the album functioning as a sonic spanking.

About the track:
So my goal for this track was to develop a heavy electro chord track that focused on a distinctive lead. Something drawn out, punchy and that carried the energy throughout the track.

When you listen to this track, it's actually pretty simple. I drew up the more melodic synth half first and then added the vox sample.  The lead synth lead actually took the longest to figure out, but once that came I just laid it in front of the 2nd track, and that's when I knew it was this balance of push and pull.

Punky electro, with a but of this ghetto vox riff, followed by some melodic cool down. Pretty happy how this came out even though there are elements that can be cleaned up. I'm learning the way to progress with productions, is to not get fixated on the "perfect track" . This track was laying around for 6 months after I made it, and I wasn't even going to release it. Happy I connected with Booty School and you guys took a chance on "Lay it Down" Hope you enjoy!
