Letta Mbulu - Nomalizo (Walter Wolff Edit)

O/Y's brand of funk-infused Berlin house is currently one of the city's best-kept secrets. O/Y repurposes the bluesy guitars and vocals of Kerala Dust's original as minimal fragments, using them as exclamation marks for a unique interpretation somewhere in between slowed-down minimal techno, house and funk.

Acid Pauli and Nico Stojan’s inimitable imprint Ouïe sees the long-time collaborators return with their second EP on the label since its 2016 launch.

Inaugurated as an experimental space for left- eld artists, the burgeoning label has secured a coveted reputation for issuing story-telling, evocative cuts which blur genres and challenge dance oors. With this stirring, three-track outing, the duo once again steer Ouïe as being a valuable source of essential electronica for open-minded music lovers.

The atmospheric ‘Flying Lizard’ is a stunning masterclass of dreamy, emotive soundsca- pes, with rousing drums beating the terrain while the track soars with an enrapturing melody.

‘Huch’ has listeners craving dance oor heat with goading afro drum rhythms taking the lead before an elevating synth line weaves in some much-welcomed euphoria. Closing the EP is ‘Alambic’, a track equally as provoking in its afro-inspired drum pattern and percus- sion, and it’s one certain to invoke a positive response as pulsing pads drive momentum up a notch.

Moscow based Slow House heroes Geju contribute a wonderful remix in their own signature sound.

Summer has faded once again, and here we are: Looking for the light.
A light, that has continually grown bolder and brighter is the primate lover and drum kit destroyer O/Y.

Intrigued by his ever evolving analogue sound and also because he's somewhat of a regular appearance in our ears and eyes, we decided to get him on board for his and our second 12" experiment: Turtles.

O/Y is getting around quite a bit, performing his live shows on festivals around this blue marble. Now your friendly neighborhood DJ can put more of his productions into the soundtrack of your next night out.
This is the sound you will be stumbling across dance floors to this coming winter. And probably summer still. Accompanied by a Hip-Hop-ish remix, crafted by the talented Luca Musto and the digital bonus "Der Kleine Mann" as well as a Xique-Xique remix of this beauty.

Since we all coexist on this planet — some closer to, some farther away from each other — we know how you have been feeling this past year.
Mood swings happen on a daily basis. Uncertainty is sitting deeply in all of us. What is happening? Where will this lead? Is there an end in sight?

We're no psychics either, but in times like these something everyone should do is to keep the spirits up for themselves and those around them.
And so we set out and forged something, that's rather different from our usual output, but yet wholesome and our equivalent of a bag of warm and loving hugs. Without the fear of getting infected with some kind of virus of course.

A new story in our ever growing book of slowness is coming to fruition and now is the time to present its first chapter.
