John Monkman is no newbie to audio, and if you don't know how far his touch reaches, then you should probably sit back and ask yourself where you've been the last few years. Now we've got a piece of his latest work for you 'Follow Me' featuring the lovely vocals of Liz Cass. 'Follow Me' is a groove-stew of cool bass and crisp percussion flowing freely over the dancefloor. Liz Cass' vocal lines grace the track and float beautifully between the different parts. John has captured the sound of his soul and put it in this track. Play it on a full dancefloor and watch the audience peak. Affkt is one of the key names in the Suara's history. Not only for been the mastering engineer of the label since a couple of years, but for his great contribution to our catalogue. Remixes, EPs, tracks on compilations or Showroom releases, this awesome Spanish producer is not a newby in our headquarters. He's probably one of the most eclectic producers of the current techno/house scene thanks to his unique ability to do big dancefloor bombs and blow your mind with infinite melodies and emotive beats. To be honest we prefer the 2nd option. Actually we really love Affkt's introspective and poppy tunes. And that's what he offer us "Jakla" and "Aoub": beautiful and emotive stuff. What Affkt's does best in our opinion. Two German deep tech house stars like Gorge & Tube & Berger are on the remix duties. A banda mineira Funky Fat produz uma contagiante combinação de house music com ingredientes do indie-rock. Como o nome da banda entrega, o ritmo é cheio de groove e se beneficia das características pulsantes entregues pelas linhas de baixo. Tal receita sonora pode ser conferida na faixa “Ride the City”, sucesso das pistas lançado pelo selo Outcross Records, de Miguel Campbell. Fora isso, Thiago Guimarães, Gui Santoro e Manu d’Alcântara vêm mostrando seu talento como no EP Masochist e tambem, na música “Fat Noise”, colaboração com Anderson Noise.

Já o EP autoral Jealousy, bancado pela Hot Creations, os apresentou ao cenário mundial em 2013, indo parar direto nos cases de grandes DJs, como Solomun, Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Sasha, Joris, Voorn, Claude VonStroke, Phonique e M.A.N.D.Y. O som meio anos 1980, meio punk, meio funky conquistou logo de cara o interesse de Jamie Jones, dono do selo, que estava de passagem pela capital mineira para uma apresentação na cidade. 

As influências do grupo passam por nomes como Daft Punk, Strokes eThe Knife. Depois de serem apontados como uma das revelações vindas do Brasil pela DJ Mag inglesa, as músicas do Funky Fat têm sido uma constante na programação de diversas rádios europeias dedicadas à promoção da dance music, a exemplo da BBC1, BBC6, Ministry Radio e a Ibiza Global Radio.

The band that is taking the house scene by assault, with fat basslines and strong indie influenced melodies. Guilherme Santoro, Thiago Guimarães and Manu d’Alcântara are the names behind the brazilian band FUNKY FAT. They have been doing tracks that has the strong support of the ones like Solomun, Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Miguel Campbell, Sasha, Joris Voorn, Claude Von Stroke, Phonique, M.A.N.D.Y, among others big players in the game. Their sound has a strong crossover appeal full of deep energy and funky grooves, and their first E.P is already on many european radio stations as BBC1, BBC6, Ministry Radio, Ibiza Global Radio, and got a 9 out of 10 from the infamous DJ MAG. Live, you can feel the analog-sounding atmosphere along with a seductive bold female vocal that involves you through the songs.
