Part of the Nola beats label, the duo spearheaded numerous NOLA Beats tracks some of which are top 5 for the New Orleans based record label. Still, their production, is no match for the Mixology and their dance inducing selections. These two are dance floor aficionados. Born and raised in Florida, DeeDee grew up listening to the sounds unique to our state and loved dancing in the local clubs where she developed an ear for what makes people move...after spending some time outside Florida, she returned and made a name for herself in radio as an on-air personality on "The Bench Warmers" on iHeart Radio, and her own sex and relationship talk show "The Sweet Spot".
Most recently she got into event promotion and founded Slay Promotions LLC, which she used to begin throwing AMAZING parties in and around Orlando. Inevitably, DeeDee ended up behind the decks one spontaneous night at a local club and instantly fell in love with mixing and manipulating the music she had loved so long. She has since risen like a rocket in the scene while continuously honing her skills, becoming one of the most popular and skilled female DJ's in the business today.

Alex Rodriguez is a talented musician, music producer, and audio engineer originally from the “The Magic City” Miami, FL. Now residing in “The Valley” Phoenix, AZ, his ear for music has evolved to different heights.
Best known as Cloak, among several other pseudonyms, he has become one of the most revered Electro producers in the modern era. Debuting in 2006 he established his sound, consisting of hard booming beats, chilling samples, distorted tones, melodic synthesizers, and any noise that will make your body move. As the founding Member of “Ghostlight”, and “Cloak & Dagger”, he’s continued to push his music to the outer limits of sound. Influenced by the styles of Miami Booty Bass, Electro, and Hip Hop, he will almost always infuse each genre somehow in every production.
At age 16 he began using studio equipment under the direction of Dj/Producer Nick Pinnington, who felt his young protégé was always in the background or in “the dark”, which resulted in Alex taking the names Cloak & BackgroundNoize. Throughout the years he has been heavily influenced by producers such as: David Noller, Timbaland, Scott Christina, Aphex Twin, Dr. Dre, Anthony Rother, Dan Warren, Danny B, Scott Storch, The Neptunes, Nick Pinnington & Jason Williams. After High School he attended SAE Miami to learn the art of Audio Engineering, and perfect his craft. Cloak has written and produced multiple chart-topping bangers.
Cloak has collaborated with artists and labels such as: Code Rising, Phonotronix, Dagger, Elektro Global, Bass Agenda, Ohverclock, Inhuman Designed, James Wolfe, Trip Theory, Nick Wicked, Alekay, Synthetix and Dan Warren (Theory).

Hailing from Orlando FL Gerry LaBarge came to age in Orlando's influential & hallowed 90's late night club & rave scene. Later transitioning from the dance floor to the DJ booth & producers chair, Gerry has entertained dance floors around the USA since 1997. From his successful 2000''s Blue Room Orlando residency to recently appearing at EDC Orlando. Known for to his smooth and technical crowd-pleasing performances, Gerry has a sonic range that includes Breaks, UK Bass, Bass Music, Bass House & more.
I've been acquainted with Gerry for as long as i can remember now, and I'm so very grateful for the introduction because he truly is one of the most awe inspiring artists I've had the pleasure to work with. And if you haven't been acquainted yet i strongly suggest you make that happen! At 14/15 years of age, Derek and I met each other in the early 80’s at a Liberty High School dance and had been friends ever since. I remember playing records at each other’s house over the years .  We were friends and graduated together in High School in 1988. Eventually I backed off because of my hearing. My hearing loss made me somewhat antisocial and I faded away from the music scene and started a family while watching Derek soar into the underground stardom. After leaving the scene over 20 years ago, I reconnected with Derek and he had convinced me to get back into things. After mentoring me for 2 years he asked me to join his Cognitive Music label and had made me the head of a monthly mix series called The Bass Episodes. I was ecstatic. I felt like I was part of something. A brotherhood and I was happy. We were in the middle of releasing our 3rd Bass mix for the series during the weekend that he died. I was away for the weekend and will always have that “what if” scenario if I might have been there to help him. But he didn’t want anyone’s help. He was tired.
Derek was a hard person to satisfy. He was a perfectionist in everything he did and he expected nothing but 100 % from anyone associated with his work. He had always told me to “go/think outside the box”. So with this mix I am telling my story of our time together. I spent weeks searching for the right music for this mix and tried to orchestrate it just as he would suggest. The 1st part of the mix is made with tracks that are out of my usual area of what I normally play and has remixes of music that we all grew up with. The middle of the mix is my “out of the box”. Mixing 3 different versions of Jackal & Hyde’s Bad Robot which was something that I had tried to do in the past, and going into the Electro Bass tracks that I love to play today. The last 2 tracks of the mix are the remixes of the records we used to play together over and over at each other’s house when we were kids.
I’ve struggled letting go of Derek for the past 3 months and this mix is my closure. My permission to move on. I miss you brother and will keep all of our conversations and time together close to my heart.  I pray that your finally at peace and hope we see each other again on the other side some day. Long live DJ D-Xtreme aka Derek Steplight.
