Friends come first, so to speak. We hold the words of those we hold dearly as gospel, and this EP mirrors that feeling.
After his last release "One" on Room With A View (w/ Detroit Swindle remix) and several contributions to labels like MCDE, Endless Flight or together as Creative Swing Alliance on Wolf Music, Tsuba & City Fly - FACES Records & MCDE labels head honcho Pablo Valentino decide to release what he describes as his first full EP on his own imprint FACES.

"Friends Say So" is a nicely stripped down filter-jam; you don't need much when all the elements are good like this: a haunting female vocal sample, gritty lo-fi beats, a disco loop. Reminiscent of early Shake or the very first Sneak records, this beauty will definatly set the floor on fire.
 
"What Does It Take" sounds like a straight up Shelter anthem from '92 that just got unearthed. Heavy on the 909 and Juno keys, its the kind of late night jam that leaves everybody with a smile on their face. 

On the B-side, "Nuff Thangs" opens up things nicely; lush keys on top of a disco sample set the mood for things to come with "Can't You See", a female diva singing her ass off over dirty-as-hell MPC beats and rhodes stabs. You cant go wrong with this package!

Twelve producers sat around a web-table and shared their passion for vinyl, deep-house and deep-disco music. After having worked for more than five months on this project’s compilation, “Diggin’ Disco Deep” hits back right on time for a special occasion, which is no other than the Record Store Day 2016. 
This 3 x 12’’ vinyl-exclusive package is a gathering of perfectly arranged and creative works, applying to various shades of house and nu-disco scene. Ben Woods aka @bosqmusic was born on the coast of Massachusetts, a little Peninsula called Cape Cod, outside of Boston. In 2016 he moved his base to Medellin, Colombia, to immerse himself in the culture and sounds he so much adored.

Bosq’s has a new album coming out called “Love & Resistance” and is a collection of songs that reflect a producer’s continuing emergence by diving deeper into his influences. The strains of Afro and Latin flavours are interwoven and still heavily permeate but the underlying groove and rhythms have taken on a more modern, jazz-funk and disco-soul vibe with nods to Bobby Caldwell, Roy Ayers, the Mizell brothers and Nile Rodgers’Chic.

Our favourite cut off the LP, 'In Orbit' is a joyous piano funk stomper, full of soul and guaranteed to inject some sunshine & colour into your life when you hear it. A firm favourite in our sets right now!

Thoma Cher is the supplier of the good times via, firstly, the pure party gem that is "Holiday Holiday", on an EP that marks Cher's first solo outing on this label. "Dancer" is an uplifting track with a warped bassline that wraps itself round the sliding hi hats and loose drums as boogie synths add colour. "Be My Love" is an instantly recognisable gem with a fat bassline slowed to a sensuous pace overloaded with breathy vocals. Great stuff."
