I recently found this weird Easter Egg, an alternate route you can unlock when you stay on the start screen for long enough... it looks like it unlocks a completely separate campaign for the game you can play on, I looked online to find any posts or blogs about it but I couldn't seem to find any...

When Oliver comes across a stressed-out, exhausted Toriel who's had to deal with more than a handful of human kids swarming around, something of a dream-turned-nightmare for Toriel, it's clear she isn't thinking straight. She initiates battle as a result of a mental spiral she "speedruns", almost as if going through the five stages of grief in reverse in 5 seconds.

Oliver's task is to talk Toriel through this mental breakdown, to get her to calm down long enough and to get her grounded long enough for her to process things healthily again.

After meeting Mettaton and him saying his goodbyes, Mettaton throws his staff at the MERCY button, breaking it. Then he transforms from his EX form to his NEO form.

A couple turns into the bossfight, Mettaton attacks you with an impossible attack, but then Axel gets the green soul's SHIELD ability and they can block attacks.
