Remix i did for Getter about a year ago but only properly finished it recently for release. Was ORIGINALLY just a remix i wanted to do just for the clubs but Firepower Records thought it needed to be out there for the public properly, and here you go >:)

Dirtyphonics continues to pump the bass-driven electro beats with the release of a diverse 4-track remix compilation of their most recent EP, Write Your Future. Preserving Dirtyphonics’ iconic bass driven / drum and bass sound, the remixers prove that genres truly have no boundaries by adding their own touch to each of the original tracks. FuntCase amplifies the punk rock guitar riffs and angsty drumline of “Power Now” by adding wild build-ups that break down into heavy, hard-hitting dubstep. Habstrakt gives “Hustle Hard” the future bass treatment, adding a distinctive 4/4 twist to the original trap banger. High Maintenance makes full use of the powerful female vocals in “Free Fall” but converts the original's dubstep drops into a vision of perfect drum and bass. Finally, Infuze concludes the EP with a future bass rendition of “Since You’ve Been Gone,” slowing the original’s drum and bass tempo with anthemic synths and heavy drums.

Since this mix wasn't for another label or company or specific release I was able to have more freedom to do what I wanted with it. After what seems like ages of compiling lists of songs that inspired me over the years I'm proud to present to you guys my new mix series: Time Warp. This has been something I've been doing on the side over the past few years whenever I had a minute. It's crazy to think it's been a decade or so since I first heard dubstep. Not a lot of people know but I was heavily into dubstep and djing/mixing local parties years before I ever produced my own music or thought the Dubloadz brand could actually be a thing. I was the kid in the crowd screaming his head off to my idols many which are now my homies. It's been a trip and I wanted to pay tribute to all those artists and the evolution of the genre over the years.

I know I've left out some key artists but I could only fit so much into one mix, which is why this is only volume 1. There are hundreds on hundreds of other tunes I have in playlists for the next mixes. 

Anyway I'll shut up now and let the mix speak for itself. Share the knowledge, share the love, share the music. Sit back and take a trip through the last decade with me and so many of the artists that made this lifestyle possible ❤️

James first expressed his love of music through jamming with his schoolmates, taking his energetic and aggressive drumming style from death metal as well as being heavily influenced by happy hardcore and jungle, growing up to a background of Helter Skelter and Dreamscape mixtapes.

After hearing ‘Bandwagon Blues’ by Twisted Individual, James fell in love with the drum and bass sound and began to focus his talents on producing. Sharing his tracks with D&B radio stations led to the first recognition of his foot-thumping talents, under the alias DJ Dose he released for the first time in 2007.

In 2009 James began to dabble with producing dubstep, giving his tunes a big energy by incorporating the drum and bass layering technique into his dubstep sound. His first track ‘Make Our Day’ was quickly signed to 4:20 Records. And so began the raw sound that is FuntCase.

It wasn't long before FuntCase began trading tracks with Doctor P, and an offer soon followed to bring James into the Circus Records camp with the release of his famed track ‘So Vexed', with ‘Mattress Punch' on the flip, in 2010. 

Since then the phenomenon has grown, FuntCase has become a legend of the DJ world. With an incredibly loyal fan base Funty is known world wide for working hard, playing hard, travelling hard - and DJing hard. Claw 4 Life yo.
