The third release on the Rebellion label comes courtesy of Russ Yallop, delivery a spine-tingling, hypnotic disco-tech monster making great creative use of some great evocative vocals. Big favourite at Get Lost this year in Miami, its become a bit of a torch song this season amongst certain echelons of the disco-tech fraternity. 

The flip features a stupendous remix by Fur Coat AKA Delete (Sergio Muoz) and Israel Sunshine, adding a big slice of dirty house pie with some great mesmerizing, hypnotic keys they produce a monster of a remix! Russ has had recent releases on Crosstown Rebels, Loosing Suki & Mothership, and has forthcoming releases on Hot Creations and Crosstown. Fur Coat are set to release their debut single on Crosstown this summer.

Making their first appearance on the label, Venezuelan deep house masters Sergio Munoz and Israel Sunshine aka Fur Coat are the next to release on the mighty Hot Creations. Title track ‘There’s No Time’ sees the darker side of the talented duo for an epic experience on the dance floor with deep growling basslines complemented with powerful electronic keys and dramatic builds. On the B-side Hot Creations favourite wAFF delivers a stellar and storming ‘Warehouse Remix’ picking up the pace with added vocals and percussion, packed with all the sonic energy we have come to expect from the young producer. Last up the Fur Coat duo deliver another golden original. ‘Together’ takes it deeper once again with a rumbling bassline and hypnotic synths and keys flowing through the layers to stimulate the senses.

Fur Coat previously remixed Russ Yallop’s ‘The Crossroads’ followed by their debut EP ‘Space Ballad’, featuring an unforgettable edit by TEED. However it would be their release ‘You and I’ featuring vocals from Cari Golden that would put the name Fur Coat on the map. At the end of 2012 they released their huge debut album ‘Mind Over Matter’ on Crosstown Rebels, with further ventures on labels such as Bpitch, Rebellion, Southern Fried Records, Noir, Get Physical and My Favorite Robot.

wAFF has rapidly gone strength to strength in the past few years after being taken under the wing of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed. First coming to everyone’s attention with the huge ‘Jo Johnson’ EP, wAFF has gone on to acquire a heavy touring schedule and his more recent ‘Puke It Up’ EP released on the label only cemented his career in the industry further. Alongside his home label wAFF has also been releasing and remixing for labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Resonance Recordings and Rinse.

Delete makes his EP debut at Get Physical Debut with My Own Nightmare. A darkly collection of dirty, raw beats and sublevel booty bass: ripe for hot and heavy dancefloors the world over. My Own Nightmare opens the EP with a dirty stepping bassline, coupled with straight claps and fat shakers creating a gritty groove right form the start. Worked vocals create depth and room in the mix as quick synths reverberate through the bass. 

A floating lead fills the air overhead with a sense of mystery and wonder. We move over to Slo-Mo Girl, an almost italo disco inspired piece, the down pitched vocal cuts and sporadic synth allow a driving beat to pull us into the groove. 

The last track is the Fur Coat Dark After Hour Mix of Slo-Mo Girl. This version brings the bass and leaves disco at home. Darker, and heavier, it demands an audience. The under the floor bass shakes your insides, as the melodies take over your mind. A great sense of unease is created through various synth effects and vocal cuts. Percussion drives track as the bass steers through the dark essence of Slo-Mo Girl.

Fur Coat - BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix

Ever since Norwegian mystery man Gundelach debuted in late 2015 with his singe “Spiders”, he has quietly been making waves. In the Nordics it was a radio hit, and landed him festivals slots on some of this coming summer’s biggest stages like Øya, Roskilde and more. Internationally, it was #1 on Hype Machine, picked by Pharrell for his Beats1 show and garnered millions of streams. 

After recently playing Sentrum Scene in Oslo to 1700 people, his new single ”Fjernsynet” (Norwegian for television set) is poised to lift him to new heights with its cooly delivered falsetto over a driving rhythm accentuated by beautiful analog-electronic production. It’s a broody, melancholic and catchy anthem for driving late at night and the centre piece of his forth-coming debut EP.

The remixes are raising the bar even higher with Fur Coat going towards the deep electronic melodic house direction with deep pulsating basslines, rolling grooves, electronic themes and superb spacey futuristic atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Spanish DJ/Producer and Fayer label boss Edu Imbernon released his new single Bitter Fate on July 4th, complete with a remix from Venezuelan duo, Fur Coat.

Having already established himself as one of Spain’s most revered homegrown DJ/producers over the last five years, Bitter Fate is a testament to Edu’s slick, ever-maturing sound. Centered around a hazy, mellow vocal, the track builds across seven minutes of rolling, balearic grooves and bright, glistening melodies that feel perfectly geared towards the incoming summer season. 
  
Sergio Munoz and Israel Sunshine, better known as Fur Coat, then turn in their own darker, rolling rework to give the track a new dynamic for the floor. Built around a dark, pulsating bassline and haunting male vocals, their edit feels both near-hypnotic and infectious, serving as an excellent addition to Edu’s original mix.

Returning to the AEON imprint for his second release this year, Denis Horvat is fast becoming one of the underground’s most hotly tipped artists. Venezuelan production duo Fur Coat is back on Crosstown Rebels, this time armed with the sultry West Coast tones of Cari Golden and bomb of the season, ‘You and I’. Calling in rising star Amirali for remix duty, this essential release has got prime Miami anthem written all over it.

The original ‘You And I’ has long been slaying dance floors at the hands of Damian Lazarus, cloaked in mystery until Art Department let the cat out of the bag at Mexico’s BPM Festival, cementing the track as highly sought after DJ weapon, and leaving ‘Fur Coat’ and those suggestive lyrics on everyone’s lips. A-grade addictive groove, ‘You And I’ is the epitome of deep and sleazy bassline house with the added distinction of Cari Golden’s velvety vocals building an allegorical story of chemistry and intoxicating love.
Exploding onto the scene this year is Iranian/Canadian producer Amirali, already winning over legions of fans with his first two tracks ‘My Way’ and ‘Beautiful World’ and about to secure his place amongst stars of 2012 with debut album ‘In Time’ – out on Crosstown Rebels this Spring. Cari Golden is a classically trained musician from Los Angeles California where she works as a studio vocalist and songwriter. She began collaborating in the EDM world four years ago and has since had several critical successes with Pan-Pot’s Captain ‘My Captain’, DJ T’s ‘City Life’. With this imminent Fur Coat smash, Cari Golden could also be the voice of Miami WMC 2012.

Kindisch just saw the release of 'Love Handles You'; the spectacular work of Scandinavia's Deep-House-Queen Adeline. Now she hands the track over and receives a brilliant remix package worthy of the original. 

American born Camea has music in her blood, coming originally from world-famous-music-city Seattle. After discovering techno in 99' she quickly took to it, and since then has released on labels such as BPitch, Playhouse, Minus and even Get Physical. For this remix, Camea opens with a decidedly Tech House percussion and develops it with vocals until the break comes with the signature melody of the original. She then takes us on a humid journey with pads and white noise as her best weapons. 

Norwegian artist Diskjokke takes us immediately under his wing and then pumps us full of dirty basslines and vocal delay. The energy he manages to build here, the anticipation, is priceless and wonderfully crafted. A very techy mix, Diskjokke brings us the deep night in sonic form. Chords, plucks, keys and distortion come together to create a thick slice of modern nightlife. 

Delete (aka Sergio Muñoz) & Israel Sunshine teamed up in 2010 to become Fur Coat, and the rest is, as they say, history. Brilliant Deep House and funk infused work has brought them here. Their vision of 'Love Handles You' is a techy blend of vocals, acid inspired synth lines and thick melodies, all spread out across a crunchy beat.

Fur Coat has been at the forefront of the electronic music scene for the past decade, steadily building his reputation as a producer, DJ and label owner (Øddity Records).

As a producer Fur Coat’s consistent release schedule places emphasis on quality and expressing himself as an artist. With two acclaimed albums including 2020's ‘Polyphony’ on Renaissance the Fur Coat sound can be heard on the likes of Balance, Last Night On Earth, Just This, Systematic, Watergate, Crosstown Rebels and of course Øddity Records - the label that Sergio Muñoz (Fur Coat) founded in 2017. On the remix front his takes on the music of Stephan Bodzin, Eli & Fur, Röyksopp, Sasha and WhoMadeWho…along with highly prized Fur Coat originals all see heavy rotation of his music from the likes of Pryda, Tale Of Us, Adriatique, Mind Against, Kölsch, Solmun and many more.

On the DJ front Fur Coat sets are all about creating a journey for the listener founded on melody creativity and taking his audience through a range of emotions - something evident in recorded sets for BBC Radio 1’s legendary Essential Mix and mix CD for the iconic Balance Presents series. Based in Barcelona, Fur Coat can be seen live every weekend at Europe's best clubs and events like Extrema Outdoor, WeCanDance, DGTL, Fabric, Watergate, Rex Club, Hive and Pacha. Sergio maintains a busy schedule that sees regular Fur Coat tours of North America and South America appearing at top festivals and clubs like: Space Miami, Spybar, Stereo, Warung, D-Edge, Crobar, as well as touring around Asia and Australia.

As a true artist with a thirst for new music and creativity Fur Coat can be found hard at work in the studio when not on the road. Constantly looking for new music to present in his DJ sets or release on Øddity, Fur Coat strives to innovate and explore - pushing his personal musical vision and that of his label forwards. The Fur Coat sound keeps evolving, never standing still as Sergio sets aim for new high points and goals in a career he’s truly passionate about.
