"Circa drei Jahre ist es her: Mein erster Tunnelrave von OCTA. Eine Erfahrung, die mich wortwörtlich dazu bewegte, Techno zu meinem Hobby zu machen. 

Nach vielen unvergesslichen Nächten und Raves gab es einen großen Cut in der Musikszene: Covid. Zeit, umzudenken. 

Begleitet durch die viele Zeit zuhause, unzählige Streams und die Community von MRD, begann auch ich selbst zu produzieren. Viele Bekannt- und musikalische Errungenschaften später ist dieses Hobby ein fester Bestandteil in meinem Leben geworden. 

Seitdem stöbere ich nach unbekannteren Künstler:innen, Tracks, Labels und neuen Genres oder Vocal Edits. Und auf der Suche nach der kleinen versteckten Botschaft in und um Techno.

Dieses Set erzählt daher meine Story der letzten ungefähr drei Jahre - von groovigen Techno bis hin zu Psytrance. Viel Spaß beim Hören!"

Valenthin is a DJ in Budapest’s techno scene who started playing about 1.5 years ago. When he is expressing himself behind the decks, he wants to find the balance between rhythmic, groovy and drum-heavy techno.

"Exploring the world of techno music, trying my wings as producer recently too. I’m developing a passion for groovy tunes, which makes your legs move by their own. The key essences of this mix are keeping the BPM under 150, as it gives me plenty of opportunities for the outcome to be what real groove means to me, and finding the right balance is also a good challange for me. I’m greatly inspired by the work and style of CEM and EMDEES, but I could mention Wallis as well whose musical art I can really identify myself with."

Szermi - mimo niewiele ponad rocznego stażu na wrocławskiej scenie, zdążył w tym czasie dołączyć do tamtejszych składów kolektywu Tech-room 29 oraz Transformatora. Muzycznie lubi improwizować i grać co w danej chwili odpowiada jego nastrojowi, jednak najlepiej odnajduje się we wprowadzaniu słuchaczy w trans hipnotycznymi, tribalowymi dźwiękami oraz rozbudzaniu ich za pomocą energicznego, często funky groovu.
Prywatnie natomiast wielbiciel słownych żartów oraz fan koszykówki - kiedyś nawet zawodnik jednej z takich drużyn.

Georgian DJ and producer, Ly Sas started her musical path as a guitarist and songwriter for various rock and metal bands. Subsequently, she started listening to electronic music records coming from Detroit and Berlin that were the main force behind her inspiration to start making and performing beats. 

Throughout the years she has shown that she is an artist with an unstoppable drive, work ethic and particular character. Her music draws upon groovy but pulls ambient and synth textures into its orbit too.

Ly Sas will be part of our next event on September 16th in Berlin as release party of our upcoming V.A. vinyl «Chronicles Of Freedom» -a significant and heart-felt tribute to the Tbilisi scene and to the artists who are playing an active role in its flourishing- where she contributed with the track "For No One".

For this exclusive mix, Ly Sas gives a taste of her unique groovy and agressive energy.
