Label co-owner Moakz returns to Codename: RCRDS - ‘Another Dream EP’, the sixth release on Codename: RCRDS, the new label from Southampton-based jungle, 160 and atmospheric crew Codename: Amen. 

‘Another Dream EP’ marks another flip up in style for this versatile artist, this time focussing on jungle and hardcore-influenced stylings. The EP opens with the tribal ‘Howler Monkey (Another Dream)’, a feverish and mystical stepper straight out of the Amazon, where Think breaks collide with tribal drums, booming sub bass and eerie chanting vocals.

Joint label owner and long-time friend Rome joins Moakz for his first release on the label ‘Cosmic Explosion’, flipping things into a different direction again, full of deep and dubby organic goodness, with rumbling reeses, brass stabs, strings and metallic tones keeping things rolling nicely.

The EP continues with ‘Back To The Earth’, with Moakz once again stepping things out with a deep vibe, as soulful vocals cry “Who’s To Blame?” whilst powerful drums criss-cross with technical malfunctions.

Things draw to a close with the post-hardcore vibes of ‘Gotta Take It Easy’, which mashes cinematic strings, haunting vocals, 303s, gorgeous rhodes, dubby bass and rolling breaks into an inventive closure to the EP.
