Northern Drone (live)

In the autumn of 2022, several folks from the label / art collective / friends circle Anabasis (ex-sdbs), me included, went on a weekend trip into the woods southwest of Prague. This journey became a basis for the first compilation "...pryč po modré" by our new joint music project Osada.

POUŠTĚ is my contribution to the project - almost twenty minutes of various associations born from the fall-colored landscape, small villages along the train tracks, deer cries coming from a fog-covered valleys and bonfire chats lost in the incoming cold night. I was heavily getting into drone metal at that time, and simple analogue drum machine from my old Vermona organ also allowed me to use some slowcore influences.

The other tracks from my friends include some portions of dark folk, trip hop, uncompromising guitar drone metal or even some darkjazz improv elements. All this is accompanied with various field recordings, pieces of conversations lost in the night and psychedelic bonfire jam fragments.

It was a great fun putting this together. The whole thing is downloadable for name your price at the link above and you can also buy a beautiful white cassette there. I hope it reaches some other woods-wandering noise lovers out there!
