Papyrus takes the role of Asgore. He's the current ruler of the Underground, or the "underworld." as his brother has nicknamed it. He rarely leaves his Throne Room, instead summoning his Royal Guard to handle any disturbances and uprisings (of which there are many). In his time as a monarch he has become lonely, isolated and rather brutal. He does not fear doing horrific things for he knows his intentions are pure, and he does not quite recognise that he has long-since crossed the threshold into evil. He wears a lot of Asgore's armour and sits in his Throne, and the talk amongst the common folk is that he is becoming more and more like the old leader with every passing day...

Small tid bit of context: this is a megalo for the pacifist/neutral route, not genocide. Sans has seen what happens when a Human passes through that door. They proceed to kill the Monarch and destroy what world has been built up here, sending everything back to square one.

Alphys has taken the role of Flowey. After being fired by Queen Toriel, she takes off to the Ruins, making it her and Undyne's new home. She converts it into her own makeshift laboratory, with robots patrolling every corner. It isn't a very pleasant place to be around, to say the least. She has slowly drifted into a madness-induced obsession with getting her claws on a Human SOUL... And it has pushed her to the brink.

In this branch, Spamton takes the role of Mettaton. Papyrus knew that a new entertainer needed to be built and, with his creativity too focused on building traps for a Human who had yet to even enter the Underground, he decided that another robot would be the right option to fill that void.
However, this is Papyrus. Robotism has never been his strong suit.
And so, the mess that is Spamton G. Spamton was the result. A popular spectacle, for sure, and certainly a big shot. However, nobody will ever make a deal with him so, even now, he feels unfulfilled; he's a salesman, he's not in it for the money. And even now that his wildest dreams have come true, he isn't happy with the hand he's been dealt.

Since King Mettaton commissioned a new form to fit his more regal position, Spamton takes over Mettaton's old EX body. It's extremely damaged, stripped of most of its components, and to most people would be little more than scrap metal. Spamton is not most people though, and so he forced Papyrus to make some changes to it, without explaining why.
Now we can see why.
The form is named Spamton Deluxe, or DX for short. And it's unsurprisingly more than a little overkill.

"Furtherfell - Rethroned" follows on from an incomplete pacifist ending. Toriel comes out of hiding, and establishes herself as “Mother” of the underground, making swift changes to how things work. She maintains a strict rule, attempting to prevent another reign of tyranny. Humans are to be treated with kindness, and to be delivered to the Queen.

Sans keeps his role. He's been a cruel jokester for so long, annoying people and just being kind of a jerk. But after Asgore's demise, and failing to get any revenge against the tyrant who scarred his brother, he's been trying to do something with his pathetic little existence.
Unfortunately, fate had different plans.
He tried his best to change, to let mercy be the choice... And where did that get him?
Well.
Now here he stands, with everything he ever knew and loved gone, and one person stood before him.
In a way, Sans views Hare as he did Asgore. In his exhausted, stressed, grieving, swirling mind, they're one and the same. 
One brute. One monster. One force who ruined his life, and the lives of everyone around him.
And he isn't going to pass up another opportunity to make 'Asgore' pay.

Furtherfell is an AU, split into several branches, portraying the various hypothetical neutral endings of the 'canon' Underfell. "Furtherfell - Vive La Révolution" follows on from the King Papyrus ending, where Toriel, Undyne, Mettaton, and Asgore have all been killed, leaving Papyrus as the only option for a good leader. He vows to do better then the Tyrant before him; he sees good in all of his people, buried beneath their evil and cruelty, and he will force it out of them no matter the cost. These good intentions spiral out of control, until the underground becomes a Totalitarian Dictatorship with the new King at the helm, arguably in a worse state than the previous rule. Humans are to be treated as enemies, to prevent another tragedy such as this.

Papyrus takes the role of Asgore. He's the current ruler of the Underground, or the "underworld." as his brother has nicknamed it. He rarely leaves his Throne Room, instead summoning his Royal Guard to handle any disturbances and uprisings (of which there are many). In his time as a monarch he has become lonely, isolated and rather brutal. He does not fear doing horrific things for he knows his intentions are pure, and he does not quite recognise that he has long-since crossed the threshold into evil.
This time, however, he feels compelled to take matters into his own hands... Unfortunately for himself he isn't the only one who feels such an urge.
With deep-rooted trauma inflicted by the brutal events of the past making a resurgence, Flowey decides to strike where he can and take back the power he needs. Now controlling the King, and wielding the SOUL of the Human he killed in this Throneroom 6 long years ago, he seizes the opportunity to finally do something right.
And yet it still feels so wrong.

"Furtherfell - Neutral in Name Alone" does not exist.

In this branch, Flowey takes the role of Asgore. Having been seemingly overlooked by the event that caused several notable figures in the Underground to disappear, Asriel was left alone and afraid. However, Chara would not allow that. From their strange, inexplicable pocket of reality they clawed their way back in, latching onto the only DETERMINATION they could.
And so the siblings were reunited in one vessel. As the rightful heirs to the Kingdom they locked themselves away in the Throneroom, occasionally giving orders and demands. Few followed their word, leaving the Underground relatively rulerless... And leaving the duo feeling helpless and alone.
One day, the visions started. Whether it be caused by DETERMINATION, the unusual manner in which Chara returned or some strange combination of the two, they swiftly became plagued by memories they never had of horrific events... With one Human at the centre of it.
Now the Human has arrived. And they've no choice but to act, even if they seem far less cruel than in those inexplicable thoughts.

After all, despite everything, it's still you, Hare...

In this branch, Mettaton decided that the best way to appease the violent and brutal side of his utopian Resort was to give the people an outlet. And so the Colosseum was built! Overseen by the only person the King knew to be good at black comedy, that being Sans, monsters are left to brutalise one another for the prize of a trip to Mettaton's hotel.
Technically they aren't supposed to be killing one another. But let's be real, nobody's enforcing that.

In this branch, Sans takes on a somewhat original role. Having first appeared at Grillby's, he now fills the position of Overseer of Mettaton's Colosseum. By now it has become pretty clear he is a man of many personas; first you saw him drunk and overbearing, and then you saw him as sober, downtrodden and clearly not enjoying his job.
Unfortunately, the latter was a rather blatant façade.
Sans loves his job! As a skeleton with a hell of a lot of built up rage towards the system, why wouldn't he enjoy the brutality of it all? In fact, the most frustrating thing to him is Hare's sheer dominance over the Colosseum, whether that be through slaughter or pacifism.
And so he drops the façade. If he has to tackle the human head-on, he's at least going to have as much fun with it as his audience are.

His own brother is now the enemy of the people, and therefore his own enemy, and yet the people have cast Sans out as well. There is nowhere he can turn where he won't be loathed by someone, and this has caused him to just stop caring anymore. 
After stalking Hare throughout the Underground for the entirety of their journey, causing them grief and frustration at every turn, he finally sees his time to strike in the Last Corridor. His spite and vindictiveness seem to be at full force, and his self-loathing buried under smug pride at the violence he's about to commit.

Sans wasn't prepared for Hare to stand up against his attack, nor was he prepared for it to be handled in a non-violent manner. It's hard to be hateful when you're met with kindness in response; and so his façade falls apart like wet tissue paper. He knows he's the last thing standing between this human fighting his brother, and no matter the outcome of that he just isn't ready for it. Despite the strained relationship between them, he feels like he has to protect his brother... And so he makes his last-ditch effort to stop the human from leaving the Last Corridor.
After all, he already lost Papyrus once. He's not ready to do it again.

In this branch, Papyrus has converted part of Undyne's Royal Guard Headquarters in Waterfall into... Well, what he believes a Guard should have as their Headquarters. A place that somehow manages to tick the boxes of both gaudiness and edginess, Papyrus' Headquarters acts as a centre for all Guard operations within this Underground. It is from this place which he and he alone strategizes, with absolutely no hired help to assist him with this, none whatsoever, definitely not. "Furtherfell - Vive La Révolution" follows on from the King Papyrus ending, where Toriel, Undyne, Mettaton, and Asgore have all been killed, leaving Papyrus as the only option for a good leader. He vows to do better then the Tyrant before him; he sees good in all of his people, buried beneath their evil and cruelty, and he will force it out of them no matter the cost. These good intentions spiral out of control, until the underground becomes a Totalitarian Dictatorship with the new King at the helm, arguably in a worse state than the previous rule. Humans are to be treated as enemies, to prevent another tragedy such as this.

In this branch, Papyrus takes the role of Alphys. Mettaton witnessed his traps back in Snowdin, and recognised some genuine genius behind the ridiculous ineffectiveness. And so Papyrus takes on the job he has been gifted but, rather than changing his life to match it... He fits it to his goals. Papyrus still wants to capture himself a Human, after all that the last one did.
Though his traps have barely improved in terms of quality, their scope and frequency have gone through the roof!

"Furtherfell - Rethroned" follows on from an incomplete pacifist ending. Toriel comes out of hiding, and establishes herself as “Mother” of the underground, making swift changes to how things work. She maintains a strict rule, attempting to prevent another reign of tyranny. Humans are to be treated with kindness, and to be delivered to the Queen.

In this branch, the cats take an original role. Situated within Papyrus' incredibly great, intimidating and grandiose Royal Guard Headquarters, the three-headed beast stand between you and reaching their owner... Even though at this point Sans is in your party. (Notably they deal no damage to him, but if he is the only party member left standing the battle is classed as a loss). Doomfanger is obviously the most aggressive, Larry screeches like a maniac if you get close and then there's the third cat... named Cat (a name which took a massive discussion to choose, both in canon and in our wonderful AU team lmao). 
Anyways Cat is just... Cat. Absolutely adorable.

"Sins of the Father" is our attempt to create a self-insert AU that still generally fits in with the lore of Furtherfell itself. After a war between Human and Monsterkind ends in the obliteration of both sides, there should seemingly be no story to tell... And yet somehow life found a way, and both sides returned. However, history was forgotten, and therefore doomed to repeat itself.
The sins of the father were held against the child, and the tragedy forced to happen once more.

In this branch, Snowdin Town no longer exists. After so many years, battered by gradually intensifying blizzard, the town collapsed completely... Save for one building. I have faith in you to guess which one that was. 
Therefore, as the new monsters settled in what was left, they built around all that remained. Nobody truly knows who or what a 'Grillby' is, though children are often told the fictitious tales of his life as a benevolent Mayor of this town. And thus, the town was named in this hypothetical hero's honour.

By the way, @user-488709183 (Cacote/Aster) takes Frisk's role. Just thought I'd let you know.

However, beneath this surface-level evil is a much more serious motivation... Which he finally unveils now.

Flowey in this branch has lost everything. Both parents of his are dead, and his 'friend' Papyrus has gone off the rails. Technically he has slipped into the role of Toriel, guiding the Human through the Ruins and protecting them from Sans, but he is not resigned to just the Ruins. He's cold, harsh, blunt and rude, and terrified of letting people get too close to him due to how he was previously scorned by Frisk. He's traumatised... But there's more to it than he's willing to discuss.

[UNDERFELL] Joint Pain (800 Follower Special) (Spudward)

* He's only killing time, not you.
* For once you're glad he won't stop cracking jokes.

UNDERFELL. If you're here, you know what that AU is. 
The reason we're making some tracks for it is simple: considering there is no basis for a truly canon Underfell, with even the creator considering their works to be a take on the AU (https://underfell.tumblr.com), we need to have some sort of a formalised Underfell for us to Further the Fell of.
And so, we get this. Furtherfell's mostly-Canonfell-based Underfell.

I suppose the thumbnail deserves some context.
So at the end of Snowdin, Sans stops you. Because Papyrus is busy. Someone's gotta do it.
Sans is not taking this seriously, quite frankly.
At one point (entirely for comedy, he doesn't actually drink the stuff) he drinks mustard in the middle of the battle and then just says
* heh.
* i'm gonna hurl.
Tosses the bottle over his shoulder and Fella's avatar thingy catches it.
And then it's never brought up again.

[UNDERFELL] strike! (Spudward)

* You wish to return "home", do you not?
* Ahead of us lies the barrier.
* The only thing keeping us safe here...
* And you seek to destroy it..?
* ... Or just to cross it?

* My child, don't you see...
* How much you'll hurt us..?
* In your single-minded quest to go "home", you are going to ruin everything we have.
* By shattering our safety, or our throne.

* I am only protecting you, do you understand?
* Protecting you from your naivety.
* Protecting you from yourself!

* So, be a good child and stand down.

Furtherfell is an AU, split into several branches, portraying the various hypothetical neutral endings of the 'canon' Underfell. In this instance, 'canon' refers to the version on Tumblr, created by the infinitely talented Fella. They don't actually consider it canon, but for Furtherfell it most certainly is. It can be found here (https://underfell.tumblr.com/)
It is inspired by the concept of Aftergore, though only in concept and not in execution. Our story follows a human by the name of Hare, entering a world they do not understand, that has been forever changed by the actions of someone they've never even met.
We won't be 100% accurate to Underfell; some elements may be changed, either due to a lack of information or just due to us wanting something to differ.
"Furtherfell - Rethroned" follows on from an incomplete pacifist ending. Toriel comes out of hiding, and establishes herself as “Mother” of the underground, making swift changes to how things work. She maintains a strict rule, attempting to prevent another reign of tyranny. Humans are to be treated with kindness, and to be delivered to the Queen.

In Furtherfell: Rethroned, Toriel takes the role of her ex-husband, Asgore. Faced with a leaderless Underground after her ex-husband’s death, Toriel knew she was the only one that could do what needed to be done. The only one with leadership experience to make up for the King’s demise. The only one who could stand the weight of the entire Underground on her shoulders… She was almost right. Mother Toriel’s policies made the underground a better place for almost everyone. A new Captain, a new Scientist, all in the interest of improvement. However, the self-styled Mother has almost fallen apart. Beaten, but not yet broken, by the world she’s tried so hard to save, Toriel decrees that humans are to be treated with kindness, and brought to her.

However, when she's faced with a new human, this seems to change. Hare has resisted her Royal Guard at every turn, and so clearly does not merely want to have a slice of pie with her. Hare wants to proceed, no matter their reasoning for doing so. She cannot have someone threaten her protection, threaten to undo all of the progress that she has made. And so, she goes down in flames.

[FURTHERFELL - Rethroned] Mother To None (Wicher)

Long ago, there lived two races: MONSTERS and HUMANS.
The two races lived in peace.
Until one day, without warning, the humans betrayed the monsters.
Brutal conflict broke out, turning friend against friend, splitting families apart...
Until, on the brink of obliteration, the KING of the monsters made a choice.
His people were ordered to retreat, and he sealed them Underground with a magic spell.
Praying that, at last, the slaughter would end.

MOUNT EBOTT, 20XX

There have been no signs of life from the Underground.
All evidence indicates that they did not survive.
Yet legends say that monsterkind persists.
Readying themselves to one day return.
And, if these tales are to be believed...

They shall take back what's theirs.

So, what is FURTHERFELL?

It says here FURTHERFELL is a SERIES of AUs, what are its variations?

FURTHERFELL has several variations to represent the different neutral outcomes which UNDERTALE (and therefore UNDERFELL) can have. We do not have all of the hypothetical variations possible out as branches, since that would take too much work, so we only have Incomplete Pacifist (Rethroned) King Mettaton (Drama! Romance! Bloodshed!), King Papyrus (Vive La Révolution), and.. That one doesn't exist. Also there's a self insert.

How do neutral endings work? Are you using the Trust, Betrayal, and Closure system? 
FURTHERFELL does follow the Canonfell system of neutral endings, which is explained here.

Frisk's actions did follow the Trust, Closure and Betrayal system. But with a twist we won't reveal yet.
