This set was recorded live in Playa Venao, Panama for Weekend 2 of Reactor Venao festival. I played from 1:00-4:00am inside of the Reactor project and was really feeding off of the high energy from the dancefloor during the entire 3 hours -- it was such an epic and unforgettable night. Hello everyone, last year, as Christina and I made our first journey to Burning Man, excitement would be understated with plans to deliver an electrifying set at the iconic Robot Heart Bus after Lee Burridge. However, nature had other plans — unprecedented heavy rains and flooding at the event meant that, unfortunately, my performance could not go ahead. 

On my recent US tour, our ever-supportive friend, Benjamin from Robert Heart and the rest of the crew, extended a heartfelt invitation to play at their unique San Francisco-Oakland residency. 

This mix is not just a set; it's a token of appreciation to all who were there and an offering to those who couldn’t join us. 

Immerse yourself in a slice of the magic from that night. Whether you're listening from near or far, I hope it transports you right there with us. 

Looking forward to the next gathering at the Robot Heart residency in San Francisco / Oakland on May 9th.

One year ago today, October 29, 2023, we said our final goodbye to 159. A building that is dear to our hearts and the birth site of the Robot Heart community. We gathered there to celebrate life, love and beats. 

Closing set, 11AM to .......!

I played many closing sets within those walls, but this “final final” hit differently. I poured my heart into the music, weaving through pockets of tunes that felt just right for that moment—to honor Geo, the space, the neighborhood, and our dusty roots. 

Big thanks to Benji for making this celebration happen and to all the family and friends who brought the Halloween heat! 

The red door is etched in my soul, and seeing it on the playa this year was truly special. (Thank you, Zach C., for taking the lead.)

"My favorite set that we played this year at Burning Man was at Robot Heart. It was probably the only set that I really prepared for with Walshy Fire.

I'll be honest I was a lil nervous because I really wanted to make it run with energy for the full two hours and our typical audience isn't that used to a classic dub and reggae set. Myself and the whole RH crew wanted to create something really special for a sunset party and keep it true to the theme but to still feel like a Robot Heart set. The Robot Heart crew had told me that they wanted and entire set that sounded like "Major Lazer - Get Free" and I had to think hard about it. To keep the vibe going for two hours and for that record to be the climax was a challenge but I realized if you stick to your guns for the whole party and steer the audience in a direction and keep them with you, then anything is possible.  I hope you love it.. It's perfect for a party on a Sunday afternoon and represents a different side of Major Lazer"

This year I decided to go to Burning Man for only four days as I wanted to see other places before getting there, places which were like the opposite of the dusty Playa.

Those were four really intense days!

All I know is the first time I opened the door of my RV to ride my bike to go say "hello" to the man, I saw a shooting star in the sky...

I knew it was going to be a good year, and so it was!

I want to thank everyone that made this year the best. Each single soul I met who I laughed, talked and exchanged eye contact with!

"I will never forget my first burn in 2008. Searching for good music on the playa back then was not as easy as recent years. Every corner was blasting either dubstep or electro type of genres  which was not in my interest and finding Robot Heart by accident during a night time adventure with my friends was one of the best find on the playa. 2008 was also Robot Heart's 1st year in Burning Man and as I remember I was one of the 100 people dancing right in front of it and dreaming that one day I will be playing on this amazing stage on wheels. It was only few years after that on the night Damian Lazarus took over the bus with his party called "Rebel Heart". After that night my whole perspective on music completely changed and I was so influenced by that night's unheard music that I made a record called "Rebel Heart" as soon as I got home from the Burn, which shaped up my whole career in the right direction. It was such an honor to finally make the dream come true and be part of Robot Heart's line up last year. Big thank you to Robot Heart crew for making this happen and taking great care of me while I was performing on Wednesday night. Looking forward for more exciting years to come."

It was an incredibly big honor to have been asked to be a part of the second Further Future event, even more so for the opportunity to play on the revered Robot Heart stage alongside so many DJs and producers I am personally quite fond of. I had so much music that I wanted to share, many styles and directions, so I decided (as I started my set with a homage to one of my very early electronic music inspirations Leftfield) to show a cross-section of the current vibes I like to share with you all, from the ambient intro to the final 124bpm throwback epic ‘Rave Child’ by DJ Metatron. Lee Burridge - DISTRIKT - Burning Man 2019

It’s been a while since I played DISTRIKT last. After this years experience I’m somewhat kicking myself. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crowd at Burning Man so wild and fun. The party was electric. Fire! And, it was only Tuesday. ‘Pacing it’ was obviously out of the question for the five thousand or so that joined me. The Robot Heart bus rolled up and plugged in. Hoj tore the place up before me. Our day party extended into night and most of us left with a smile on our faces and an electricity that carried us forward. Beautiful people swung above the crowd in a birdcage (is that safe I kept asking myself in my head)and hips wiggled and swung while the multi-level dance floor bumped and bounced. Basically, best day party at Burning Man ever ever. So, thank you DISTRIKT for giving me an extended set and an amazing party to play. Let’s do it again next year. It’s a date?
