MTRL (material) is a versatile art and music project by Lukas Weinlein. Driven by his interest in different ways of artistic expression, he started experimenting with sounds at a young age, tapping into many different styles of music. This insightful journey shaped his current understanding of music and ultimately led him to the endless possibilities of electronic music, inspired by the infinite cosmos and organic voices of nature. Having bonded with a multitude of great artists helped to refine his style and created a sphere of inspiration around him. The name for this specific art project was chosen because the definition of the word material, the matter from which a thing is or can be made, fits the purpose of the project very good. So the aim of MTRL is to create an audiovisual experience from existing or non-existing matter for open-minded brains. Together with Dycide and Polygonia he is one of the minds behind the label IO.

An electronic music duo from Macedonia, currently based in Skopje. The name Binary Thoughts may speak for itself, but there is a much deeper meaning embedded within.

The ancestral way of thinking has always been 'binary'. To understand nature and all its phenomena, we made a world of oppositions (day/night, sun/moon, male/female). Where the law of "all or nothing” rules, there is no in-between. But the reality is indeed always more complex and more interconnected than what our 'perception' of the world suggests.

This perception beyond this “all or nothing” connected Ana Bogatinovska and Jovana Gjorgievska. At first strangers to each other, they met at a music festival in their native country; And after a long discussion about electronic music, they've decided to do a project that will connect their somewhat different but similar taste in electronic music.

Their melancholic, delicate and hypnotic sounds use 'binary thinking' as a motor to press on to a third term or a higher category that represents a transcending reconciliation or unity: where thesis and antithesis are always harnessed to yield a synthesis. Where seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary: Yin and Yang.

Currently, they are exploring the vast horizons of deep and hypnotic soundscapes intending to create their unique blend of creativity to start producing their music.

French producer Clarence Rise has developed a strong, intense and singular musical identity, where incisive techno meets the icy atmospheres of coldwave. Our next artist is originally from Brazil, he begab his journey among the underground clubs and obscure after-parties –  eventually moved to London, building upon a relentless passion for vinyl and further taking a leap into the world of production. He has been featured on imprints such as @affin, @circularlimited and @kvlto-records and many others. His distinct sound has taken shape over the years, intoxicating listeners through hypnotizing rhythm and cerebral loops. We are honored to have @caueborba complete our roster this year.

It’s with utmost pleasure we’re buckling up 2022 and shooting straight into 2023 with a powerful, atmospheric set thanks to Alexskyspirit’s contribution. Please make a due welcome to the greek (borned/raised in Patras) producer/Dj, also co-owner of the young @Khoros-label.

Alexskyspirit delivers a mix built on deep/dark bits together with newer tracks as well as exclusive, unreleased material. The result is ...moody AF, oscillating between a well-known dark-building-block (LN or Berlin-like), as much it kicks you into the midst of a white, powdery snowy mountainscape under starry Nightskies. It's the contrast, the thumping-red-thread (sometimes almost gloomy) that reveals Alexskyspirit's peculiarity. The journey embarks us in memories of both sweaty crowds, strobes and hypnotic states, somewhere between reality and dreams. Respites are given to calm the mind before kicks & basslines bring you right back in line. Cinematographic, ravey, a sense of mystery mixed are all in favor of a cathartic trip. Kalumet [Marsalforn / Malta]

Kalumet (aka Ork Monk aka Trevor McGregor aka Arboraetum aka Tiger Punch) is Zoltan Vajda from Hungary.
One of the oldschool master of storytellers of the psychedelic trance scene. He got involved in the mid 90’s, early enough to see the spreading of trance worldwide, to witness its transforming through the 00’s to our present time. Considering this kind of possession of psychedelic experience, one can never be in doubt to have a very special time when he is playing, be it live act or DJ set.

His musical history goes back to late 80’s, when he grabbed his first accords on the guitar. The bass guitar came in a few years later, and his world of sounds slowly got a shape, influenced by Joy Division, The Clash, Suicidal Tendecies / Infectious Grooves, L.A. Style, The Overlords, U96, Kraftwerk, Front Line Assembly, Yello, Gabor Szabo, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Korai Öröm, Hardfloor, Emmanuel Top, the Ninja Tunes like Herbalizer and Coldcut, Morcheeba, then Green Nuns Of The Revolution, Quirk, X-Dream, Four Carry Nuts, the Matsuri, Dragonfly and Spirit Zone releases, Audio Active, Black Star Liner, Korsakoff, then in the beginning of the last decade, by early Iboga, ZMA, CreamCrop, Disham and Son Kite, and maybe most of all, the traditional / folk music of the whole world.

Having a wide musical culture like this, he never kept his imagination on a short leash. In fact, he is mostly known from his unmistakable manner of creating free-form fusion dance music. Since his first remix in 1998 until this 2023, he released more than hundred tracks on many labels from Chi Recordings through Navigare Audio, Fur:ther Sessions, Kagdila, Psylife Music, BrainBusters to Horns And Hoofs, Random Records or Sangoma, he represents a very wide range of styles.

Van Morph is a restless spirit that has been around since the early 90's as a clubber but also as a listener. In the mid 90's his love for electronic music brought him close to the desire to learn the art of DJing. With this initiation, he officially began his journey in the field of the music industry. He is Co-Owner / Founder of the recordlabels Khoros Records, Eurynome Records and Chronos Records, continues to this day to share his musical concerns since music for him is a way of life, a choice that has determined to this day his course so far. His style changes and reshapes from time to time and that does not make him boring.
His music is characterized by dancing bass lines and psychedelic accompaniments while other times his dub mood with various percussions and melodies show the other side of him.

TSUNIMAN's spellbinding trance, spacey techno, and progressive psy delights are bound by layers of the quirky and ethereal.
A moodier soundtrack for when the lights go low, TSUNIMAN's sound alchemy blends dark hypnotic elements with bright vibrations, creating otherworldly soundscapes that captivate the senses. For the past three years, they have been a resident at Klub Verboten, an alternative play party hosted in London and Berlin. After an unforgettable b2b set at Field Maneuvers festival in the Summer of 2023, they started running their party with Miro SundayMusiq - Saturday Club* - an intimate club night centred around the notion of community and supporting grassroots venues.
Their eclectic selections — often spanning 90s psychedelic trance and throbbing hypnotic techno — have earned them guest shows on numerous local and international radios, such as Rinse FM, Balamii, Noods, Radio80k, and Radio DY10. Over the last few years, they have shared the stage with the likes of Len Faki, Dasha Rush, HAAi, and LOLSNAKE, to name a few. Venturing beyond borders, they have played at renowned French clubs Macadam and Rex Club, as well as Berlin's underground favourites OHM and Club OST. Within the dynamic London techno scene, TSUNIMAN has become a regular at FOLD, performing at multiple editions of the captivating UNFOLD party. Debuting on Boiler Room with an energetic closing set earlier this year, you can be sure there will be plenty more opportunities to hear them perform.
