Once a month I will be recording a radio show where you and I will be exploring all manner of dance, trance and rave, with a special guest each show who has inspired and intrigued me through their impact on the music, scene and industry we love. Thru the show I will share a selection of tunes carefully orchestrated to shake off the week and get you primed & ready for the weekend! This is the podcast version, and welcome to Furthur Sessions.

For the 5th edition of Furthur Sessions I welcome the one and only Perfect Stranger to the show, with a special interview where we talk about his home life, studio, career and music, including the exciting news of a new Perfect Stranger album coming soon! We are also treated to an exclusive mix from the man himself.

Bedouin & Hamish DJ Set - Noisily Festival 2014

Daydreamer is the progressive psy music project created by Christiaan Brandt. Christiaan grew up in Cape Town, South Africa during the Psy Trance boom in the late ‘90s and early 00’s. He moved to the UK in 2007 and was quickly immersed in the progressive music culture. DJ’ing and producing under various monikers through the years, he decided to form the DayDreamer Project in 2013. Influenced by artists such as Zen Mechanics, Lifeforms, Zyce, Cosma and Side Effects, Daydreamer really combines his South African heritage and the UK influence in his music - upbeat, psychedelic and very catchy! Alpha State EP is his first release, coming on UK label Furthur Progressions Records.

A recording of Hamish's set from the Tribal Village party in London, January 2015. This party only happens twice a year, with every DJ slot one hour. Hamish had 6 months of music to cover in 60 minutes, he worked fast!

Flegma and Neurso team up for another progressive offering. This time around they have let loose on Ace Ventura's epic 'Genesis', turning the strong bass enfused track dripping in 303 synth into a deep, rumbling dancefloor monster. The title track - Sensei - is a perfect combination of atmospheric synths and a beautiful rolling bassline that breaks down into a breath-taking bulld-up and break.

A proper glitchy & psychedelic version of an classic, deep track. It is a pleasure to have this track on the compilation and as soon as we heard it we knew it would be the opener!

Furthur Progressions Records evolved from parties thrown across the UK, which brought us in to contact with some of the leading labels and artists in the early 2000's. The basis of experience and wealth of talent we were working with, along with the passion of the team to continue to evolve our experience within the most enlightening medium available to humankind, led us to create a platform for the release of innovative, effective, high-quality music. 
 
The name of Furthur Progressions Records is a combination of two influences. 'Furthur' was the name of the psychedelic bus that carried Ken Kesey and his Merry Pranksters across the United States, often in the company of bands such as The Grateful Dead and flanked by Hells Angels. The bus was an artistic, sonic experiment that pushed boundaries, carrying some of the maddest and most creative people of the 1960's through their adventures. 'Progressions' refers to the form of music that we love - that which progresses, builds and flows on a path of emotion and joy.
