@JanLoup is a DJ/producer based in Toulouse, France. Considering music as an aural, spiritual and emotional experience, she looks at it as a way to reconnect with herself. In a world of digital loneliness and hardcore consumerism, she tries to sublimate these moments of deep-seated nature through trance and dance. Responsible of a handfull of bass music oddities finding home on labels like @worst_rec, @Bigscience, @AirTexture, @sofaclubrecords or @Comicsansrec, Jan Loup is also a captivating DJ. Her mixes are magic spells changing people from a state to an another and her contribution to the serie is no exception. Cubozoa, or box jellyfish, are cnidarian invertebrates distinguished by their box-like body. Some tropical species are extremely painful and sometimes lethal to humans because of their venom. The box jellyfish's nervous system is more developed than that of many other jellyfish. They possess a nerve ring around the base of the bell that coordinates their pulsing movements. 
Cubozoa are also unique in the possession of true eyes - complete with retinas, corneas and lenses. Some of them are constantly oriented toward the surface in order to use vegetals or other terrestrial signals as landmarks during the navigation. 
Although the notoriously dangerous species of box jellyfish are largely restricted to the tropical Indo-Pacific area, various species of cubozoa can be found in various regions as far as the Mediterranean Sea, Japan, California, South Africa or New Zealand. 
According to some studies, the marine industry promotes the cubozoa’s expansion because they used to cling on the underside of the boats or to be drawn by the ballast water before getting rejected in another part of the world. This phenomenon, combined with an extremely effective defense system, can explain the abundance of cubozoans despite climate change.

I met Lynne in the summer of 2021 at our first party back after covid - it was a really special experience to share :)

Since then, each time I've seen Lynne play I've been totally blown away by her sets - she has the best selection of DnB of anyone I know. For this show, she took us on an incredible trip through some of her favourite dubstep - I had the best time dancing in the netil booth - hope you enjoy!!

Entrar. Entrar temprano o demasiado tarde. Son las primeras horas de techno. Pero podrían ser las últimas. Pocos bpms. Pero los suficientes como para empezar desde abajo. Avanzar sin desplazamientos. Llegar poco a poco. Quedarse. Un warm up de más de 6 horas. Una sesión compuesta íntegramente con vinilos que traen al presente los clubes europeos de los 90, los primeros clubes que F-on empezó a frecuentar en Madrid.

Sus sesiones progresivas, profundas y con largas mezclas abarcan una variedad de estilos desde la música experimental, el ambient y el techno horizontal más atmosférico. Son historias con especial atención al la materialidad sonora. Sus producciones son experimentos 4x4 de bajo tempo con grabaciones de campo y espacios marcados, donde explora timbres, texturas y estructuras cinematográficas. Es residente en las sesiones de Alpenglühen y Prima Materia en Madrid y propietario del sello Antimatter junto con Bule. También dirige el sello homónimo Alpenglühen, centrado en un techno profundo y ambiental que explora la delgada línea entre la luz y la oscuridad. Desde finales de 2019, lleva a cabo CALMA junto a Josephine, Diskoan y Vrika, eventos de día dedicados a la electrónica de escucha y al ambient en Madrid. Además co-dirige los sellos Downbeat, Eleve, Memories on Wax.. Es co-director del festival de música experimental Sonikas y propietario de tienda de vinilos “...is the place”.

Much in the style and voice of McDowall’s recent releases on Dais Records, his mix moves with the measured pace of a dream-like wander through some of the finest ambient and experimental productions of 2020, from the funereal melancholia of Faten Kanaan, through the crestfallen tundras of William Basinski and into the icy pop whispers of Eartheater. Furtive is a full-gonzo rave conjurer and relentless creative tinkerer, intractably committed to the rave as a Philadelphia-based producer, DJ, underground event organizer, and dancer. Furtive brings a scintillating and sentimental touch to their many polished and focused genre-spanning productions, informed by over a decade of experience in the studio and yielding a rich selection of self-released tracks, contributions to VA comps, and recent vinyl pressings. A veritable product of the contemporary American underground, Furtive cut their teeth as a DJ and DIY event organizer in Washington, DC’s warehouses, where they played a turnkey role in putting on some of the District’s zaniest techno parties. Furtive now co-runs an intimate, blossoming off-the-books venue in Philly. As a DJ, Furtive has supported internationally celebrated, no-nonsense acts and held court in dingy local watering holes with eclectic selections and a steadfast focus on pacing and dynamics, regularly jumping genres to build moving and impactful sets. Beyond the fog and speaker stacks, Furtive creates art in a variety of mediums. They're as unapologetic in their sincerity and flair as they are in being a die-hard True Believer in the rave.
