Korekast 15.0

Hello !!! Towards the end of this year I struggled to find both the time and inspiration to record some fresh mixes for the page. I've had some excellent new 12''s through the letterbox too, and I've been keen to use them as soon as possible. 

Therefore with some free time between Christmas and New Year (What fucking day is it btw ! ) and armed with a six-pack of Rave Stripe I recorded this vinyl-only mix. 

Whether you are still working your way through leftovers, back on the beers, or like me drowning in a sea of cardboard and wrapping paper I hope you find the time to turn this up loud !

Korekast 18.0

Hardcore during the late 90's, particularly in Holland had lost its way and was crying out for a new sound to invigorate the scene. 

Then in the year 2000, producers like DJ Promo and Catscan in particular stepped up and were pushing a new sound that we now know as 'Millennium Hardcore'. 

Personally, I have great memories of this era in Hardcore as it coincided with me making several journeys across the Irish Sea to England over several years to DJ at the now infamous 'Species' parties in Manchester.

I was feeling pretty inspired after Rezerection announced their return to the Royal Highland centre in Edinburgh for next year, so ! ... with that in mind I decided to throw together a mix with some of my favourite tracks from the Rez sets back in the day. I'd been itching to get a mix done with the new Dj Ruffneck 12" on it since it arrived through my letterbox, so I fired the kids a few selection boxes and stuck a Christmas movie on for them and managed to record this mix !

Erotic Sentimentalism Broadcast

For this edition of Korekast I am pleased to hand over the controls over to Emily Knight, resident for 'House of Tech' and 'Intermix'. 

Emily is a minimal & techno DJ and resident for the well-known Leeds brand House of Tech. She has made rapid progress in the scene, playing in clubs across the country and supporting huge artists such as Dan Ghenacia, Hot Since 82, Seb Zito and more. Her intense passion for music is reflected in her variety of mixes which span all sub-genres of house and techno and can include sounds such as underground rominimal, sharp electro and old school hardcore.
