In a slight change to our scheduled program we deliver just in time for Christmas something rather special. Singularly Voigtmann and John Dimas have been major players on the underground house and techno scene for some time, with their respective labels Subsequent and Elephant Moon both doing important work for the more electro leaning end of the spectrum. They have of course joined forces with devastating effect and the result is VO1GT.M4S – a back to back that combines both artists’ deadly skills both in the studio and in the DJ booth. Seb Zito is at the epicenter of the global underground. He has lived and experienced all the key musical movements of the last 30 years, from sweaty raves to pirate radio, US garage and UK house, to classy European minimal and sleek modern techno. With such a widened palette for sounds and styles, he crafts his sets with these experiences in mind to create a unique offering that sets him apart in the world of dance music. “My aim is to make people dance with tracks that go off on the floor,” he says, “but with a sprinkle of those emotional moments that bring out those special feelings.” His dancefloor educating has taken him across the globe, from the darkest basements to biggest festival stages; Space Miami and one of the original FUSE residents, Fabric night curator, WHP Manchester, Studio 338, Elrow and most sound systems around the White Island of Ibiza have all had the pleasure to amplify Seb’s sounds. In the studio, his style is best categorized under irresistible groove, which has taken his music to most of the leading dance music labels across the world. His innate desire to not be constrained by styles or genres, to push outside of his comfort zone and disrupt expectations will forever encapsulate and keep dancers on their toes.

"For this fabric mix, I wanted to stay true to my vision of a DJ set: a selection blending unreleased tracks from UK producers, never-heard tunes from close friends, a few old school gems, and some fresh new releases that really speak to me.

The idea was to craft a mix I could actually play in a club. The hardest part? Trying not to get lost listening to all the unreleased stuff instead of focusing on the mix itself — so much exciting music, it was almost cruel to choose.

I recorded this mix using the Euphonia rotary mixer, which I absolutely love. It brings a different feel to the mix — smoother, deeper, more tactile.

Big thanks to fabric for the trust, and to everyone who contributed to this mix in one way or another.
