BETTER OFF ALONE - DORTA REMIX

It's been a while since I last uploaded something, so here's some music to fill that void for a period of time.

Here is the Rival Mode music from Puyo Puyo Sun. Some people may recognise this as Draco's Theme in Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary (which in itself used both the Ketteiban and Arcade version transposes). This was rendered using the Sega Megadrive's Yamaha YM2612 FM Synthesiser Chip. All samples used in this rendition follow the 5 FM, 3 PSG and PCM/DAC channel limitations (if you can call it as such), and I had great fun doing this! This is played in the same transpose as found in Puyo Puyo Sun Ketteiban (which is three notes lower than the Arcade transpose).

Daytona USA - Let's Go Away (Cover)

So last week we went into an MP&E class and recorded a full EP, comprising mostly of spoopy tunes from video games (and one from a 1975 Italian horror movie) (and one non-spoopy video game tune).

This is my entry for CAPCOM's Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Music tribute!
I found out at the last minute about this event and so I spent the last 2 weeks(before May 7th,2012) grinding to get this song done! I LOVE DAN, HE'S MAH STREETEST FIGHTER(see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ASJacW9ogw). Before making this I had never heard a Dan Remix. And then I discovered there were a bunch. I WAS SAD YO. BUT FEAR NOT. I only listened to the Original CPS2 version and the CPS1 Conversion of the music for inspiration!
I wanted to express how funny , loveable, sometimes serious , and how passionate Dan can be in one song! 
Basically: His personality.

Maybe I achieved that! Maybe I didn't. But I sure as hell tried!

Here is a house track I made for SiIvaGunner's DJ Professor K takeover radio stream, under Jet Set Radio Evolution. It takes inspiration from Jet Set Radio artists Toronto, Deavid Soul and Hideki Naganuma, among other sources. I hope you enjoy it, as I've put a lot of work into it!

After a *six year* hiatus, I'm back at my usual nonsense. Here's a collection of dumb, jazz/funk, chiptune-esque tracks created using a variety of different samples and sound chips (I've labelled where appropriate).

I've taken a less purist approach this time around (compared to 4000AD) and just had some fun.

Night Crew

The lone piece I made for the Professor K Takeover! I sadly didn't have the time to make any more being I was looking forward to this event, but I'm glad I made this.

If you didn't know, this track actually samples two Twenty One Pilots songs from my favorite album "Vessel", which are "Car Radio" and "Holding On To You" respectfully. 

I questioned at first if using Twenty One Pilots songs were going to work for a JSR song, but judging by the reception I received on Twitter about it being I missed it repeatedly during the stream, I'd say I did pretty good.

I'm planning some time in the future to make more like this for my own album to compensate, so stay tuned!
