Briefly escape from daily grind with this record that floats between heaven and earth. Opener Cherubim is a new approach to Tchaikovsky’s majestic Cherubic Hymn (1878), referring to the classical roots of both acts. Instead of the original choir, LAVALU and fusus use an organ, bowed marimba and classical vocal to bring a secular-spiritual experience.
